CDR to Memphis would be sweet for him. He'd learn a thing or two from Gay and be another very athletic forward off the bench.

Another thing, has there been any trades yet? I really wanted to see BC move up in the first round, but I guess he hasn't.

Same can be said about Sund. God damn Rosenberry, you scary looking mofo.

What in the hell is Memphis doing

Why would they take Greene with Gay Love?

Nice pick for the Grizzlies, but they should have taken CDR.

Memphis fantastic draft so far. Love and Greene, two guys who IMO are top 10 talents in this draft.

    Somewhere VC creamed himself.

Rockets take France's Batum with 25th pick
    Thursday, June 26, 2008 10:14 PM

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The Houston Rockets added to their emerging bench after selecting Nicolas Batum with the 25th pick in Thursday's NBA draft at Madison Square Garden.

The Rockets were buoyed by a collection of anonymous players on their bench, who propelled them to the second-longest winning streak in NBA history with All-Star center Yao Ming sidelined for the season.

Houston was bounced out of the playoffs in the first round by the Utah Jazz for the second straight season.

Batum, who averaged 19.0 points and 5.7 rebounds, earned Most Valuable Player honors as he led France to the Under-18 championship in 2006. He can run the floor and will finish around the rim, although he generally stays on the perimeter.

The 6-8 Batum is very athletic and has good range, shooting over 50 percent from the field for his European club team last season. The 19-year-old is still young and will need to add weight to his thin frame.

His position also may be question, as he has the height and length to play small forward but is athletic enough to play shooting guard.

Greene is also a great pick. Memphis and Portland are going to be amazing. Same can be said about Minny.

Spurs snare G Hill with 26th pick
    Thursday, June 26, 2008 10:16 PM

NEW YORK (Ticker) - The San Antonio Spurs are hoping they have uncovered another hidden gem.

The Spurs on Thursday night selected guard George Hill with the No. 26 pick in the NBA draft.

San Antonio has built a dynasty in the past decade with such global picks as France's Tony Parker and Argentina's Manu Ginobili, and continued that trend by going to the summit for Hill.

The Summit League Player of the Year at IUPUI, the 6-2 Hill averaged 21.5 points as a redshirt junior, scoring over 20 points 16 times and posting seven 30-plus point games.

A do-it-all guard, Hill led the team in rebounding with 6.8 per game and added 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 45 percent from 3-point range.

A first-team all-conference pick as a sophomore, Hill appeared in just five games during his junior season after sustaining a broken foot.

Its good value, but Memphis could've done better.

I don't get the Greene love at all. He doesn't have the head to go with his physical tools

Holy shit, I hope that they select Montenegrin Nikola Peković. Given that he will drop that far. That would be awesome. He could be that surprise power forward that we've always wanted. No doubt about it.

I'm thinking CDR might fall into Boston's lap. Pierce would be a great teacher for Roberts.

Pekovic is undoubtedly an incredible talent, but the question is whether he'll leave Panathinaikos in the next 3 years after signing such an impressive contract with them.
