The Zodiac - 7/10

I love a good mystery. It runs down the facts, names and places pretty good. This is what movies like the Black Dhalia or Hollywoodland try to be IMO.

    300 - 9/10

I saw this movie again for like the 10th time, its great. I love the fighting scenes and even the dialogue while corny at times gets you pumped. Great flick.

i agree with both. i'd give zodiac alot more, but it was EXTREMELY long.

    and TMNT i'd give 8/10.

Speaking of the best show on TV... Last night, Boston Legal was one of the best episodes in the show's history (a rerun, tho). I was quite serious in that one... The Billy Joel music in the background was haunting, to say the least.

[IMG](S03E18) This is why television was invented.

I hardly know where to begin. Let's start with Alan and his hilarious storyline. It was a great idea to separate Alan & Denny for this episode and "Mr Wisenheimers" (Spader) dynamite delivery provided some much needed comic relief. Also, this is the second episode in a row to start with women in their underwear. I hope it becomes a trend.

Now for the rest of the episode. For those of you who foolishly didn't watch, the biggest deal in tonight's episode was that actual footage of a very young William Shatner is used for a series of flashbacks. This footage comes from an episode of Playhouse 90 entitled The Defender, which also starred Ralph Bellamy as Shatner's father. If that title sounds familiar it's because the episode was eventually turned into a series starring E.G. Marshall and Robert Reed. I should note that Shatner did play a lawyer later on in a series called Man of the People, but the footage used for tonight's show was definitely from a live performance.

As I watched tonight's episode awash in goosebumps, I was reminded why I admired David E. Kelly aside from hooking up with Michelle Pfieffer. His brilliant understanding of the legal drama gives him the ability to take the genre in directions it has never gone before. It's nice to see that he still can do what he does best when he's not busy with garbage like The Wedding Belles.

In my expert opinion, this episode is the shining example of why Shatner is a great actor. Sure, he's become a caricature of Captain Kirk as well as himself, but there was a time when he was so damn engaging that you had to watch him when he was on the screen. Whenever my favorite Twilight Zone episode is on (Nick of Time with the devil head, not Nightmare at 20,000 Feet with the gremlin) I watch with bated breath. Shatner is the epitome of television acting. In the early days of live TV, he was one of the few actors who could utilize what he learned in the theater and make it work on the small screen.

I must admit that I was really caught off guard by how much of Denny Crane's character was revealed by the flashbacks. It was much more than a great gimmick. Watching those scenes, we all got to see what made Denny the lawyer he became and the enormous price he paid for it. The yearning that a young man has for his fathers approval is something every guy can identify with.

The cast was incredible throughout the episode. I have been a big fan of Stephen Lee's ever since he played Tom Arnold in that TV movie. James Keane is a welcome sight because I loved him so much on The Paper Chase (where he played a law student). I barely recognized Mike Hagerty without his beard and his performance was equally hilarious and heartbreaking.

In closing, I have to point the brilliant comedic talents of Mark Valley. I know he wants to be a leading man but watching him tonight made me long to see Keen Eddie again

Seriously 10x better than borat, and he doesn't try to be funny. I used to watch his shows back when I was in my country in the 90s, (old shows), he's still my favorite together with benny hill. (english people know who he is)

I thought Transformers was the biggest piece of s*** movie ever made. It wasn't even about the transformers, it was about shila lebeuf. So many cheesey moments, not enough focus on the transformers. An all out disappointing effort. A rushed movie; pieces of crapped fused together with Michael Bay's same rotating camera and unnatural lighting effects. Loved The Rock. Bad Boys 2 was pretty good. Transformers should have never been made.

I don't 'get' flight of the concords. I don't think I'm 'hip' enough to 'get it.' I also hate hipsters. Causality.

In my opinion, the breifcase contained Marcellus Wallace's soul....I derived that theory because of the golden glow that comes from the case when opened, and because of the single bandaid that is present on the back of his head, right at the base, in a few scenes....having stated that, I dont believe there is a "correct" answer, as QT left it vague to invite you to draw your own conclusions....

I want to give it a 10, but I bet they sweetened up a lot of the racial conflict aspects of the true story to make the movie "better."

Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters -- 7/10

Each ten or so minute episode is good for at least one really funny moment, but there probably weren't nine of those moments in this hour and a half film. The show was funnier, IMO.

    Scrubs: 9/10

Scrubs is a very funny show with amazing acting for a comedy of it's sort. It does tend to get too strange at times but the characters are all very memorable and well thought out. It hasn't gotten worse overtime as many shows have, it is going to it's last season and I'll be sad to see it get off the air.

The cast saved the movie from being that low for me. Denzel is always terrific, and the young guys who played the football players were quite believable.

The premise was a good one - that if you mix white and black people together, they quickly learn that they are all human beings and generally good people. Skin color is irrelevent. Football was the great equalizer, andthe football action was fine.

If they got the social aspects truly right, and gave it the seriousness of a movie like Mississippi Burning, it could have been a truly first rate film.
