<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It's a done deal - Omar Cook has signed a 2+1 year contract with Spanish powerhouse Unicaja. After a great season in Red Star US-Montenegro decided to continue his carreer in Malaga. Cook decided not to pursue his NBA dream, he also rejected offers from Italian clubs Fortitudo Bologna and Lottomatica Roma. In the Adriatic league Omar Cook averaged 20.7 points and 6.5 assists per game last season.</div> http://www.talkbasket.net/news/omar-cook-o...in-unicaja.html Anyone who remembers the former Blazer/Raptor knows he has talent but probably declared his draft eligibility a bit too early. Who knows, maybe he'll find his way back to the NBA eventually.
Which is why I stated that he declared too early. Just goes to show that good college players don't always succeed in the NBA. Does he still hold the assist record over there?
He holds the assists in one game record for St John's, but I'm pretty certain there's no way he can hold the career record, because Mark Jackson probably does and Cook left so early.
