<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It did not take long for the trade offers to arrive in the wake of forward Shawn Marion bypassing his opportunity to opt out of the final year on his Heat contract. A source familiar with the situation said Wednesday night that the Heat already has received overtures from the Raptors, Pacers, Clippers and several other teams regarding Marion, who is seeking the type of lucrative extension Heat President Pat Riley appears reluctant to consider. Marion became eligible to be traded only after he allowed Tuesday's 6 p.m. opt-out deadline to pass. The timing puts him in play for a draft-night trade. Agent Dan Fegan, whose client elected to retain the $17.8 million salary he holds for next season, declined comment Wednesday on his upcoming approach with Marion.</div> http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/basketb...0,7171482.story
Its not specific enough for me to take it too seriously. I love how active BC's been this offseason though. Its a welcome change from last year.
We pretty much can't get him, he is too expensive. We'd have to trade half our roster to make it work.
Not going to lie, I rather have Maggette, but lets say we trade for Marion. Bargnani, Delfino and Kapono?
Well Jermaine makes 21 mill, Bosh makes max contract, add on Marion who makes 18 mill. The Raps will need to trade like their next 3 biggest salaries Kapono, Bargnani, and Anthony Parker to make it work, or a re-signed Calderon.
i think we'll need to look at a 10-15ppg scorer at the 3 guard spot, pure shooter and defender, here for the next move
