Good point. For this trade to go down now, on the day of the draft, there must be something else involved that is related to the draft. Get that 8th pick Thron!

The more I think about this, the more happy I am. It's sad to see RJ go, but we got a lot more than expected for him. Can't wait to see what else develops later today.

"The Bucks also retain their No. 8 pick in the draft to further revamp their team. The Nets hold the No. 10 pick."

looks like they're keeping the pick

per VINCE: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>and maybe he's matured and will take on the leadership role.</div>

That's what I saw after Kidd left: A new VC willing to be a leader around the kids and play a more all around game that will extend his career.
It's the first time since he got here that I believed he might be a positive here, meanwhile RJ did the same 180...in the wrong direction.

Basically, you gotta ask yourself if you liked Bargnani better than Yi.

It's about what I expected - a young prospect and cap relief. I don't think we're done dealing.

But, these type of deals I like better than the JO/Ford deal. The Nets might not be as good next year, but at least they have a clear rebuilding vision.

kinda annoyed we couldn't get the pick too or at least swap lol but can't win 'em all should be an exciting draft. Ford was talking about a trade down with Portland for #13 and Outlaw. Would do that in a heartbeat right now.

The Nets may very well move up considering Yi is really the same as a lottery pick in this year's draft.

I doubt they will use #10 and #21.

They also could use some of their five first rounders over the next three drafts to get an established player.

Like I said, getting RJ off the books had to happen before any other moves could be made.

I like Yi much better, both on the court and for marketing purposes.

He's worth a lot. A terrific asset to have.

Eh, I think they're on the same level at this point, with the same amount of potential. Maybe with Yi having a bit more potential...but then again, that might just be some premature homerism.
