<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Orlando Magic found a perfect fit awaiting them. With the 22nd pick in Thursday's NBA draft, the Magic filled a desperate need by selecting shooting guard Courtney Lee of Western Kentucky. Although not a household name, Lee was the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year as a senior, when he averaged 20.4 points. The 6-5 Lee scored 2,238 points during his four-year career with the Hilltoppers, and showed he can do it at both ends of the floor with 242 steals. While his shot selection was not always the best, Lee connected on 40 percent of his 3-point attempts, which will fit in nicely with the Magic - the NBA's top-shooting team from the arc last season. With J.J. Redick, the team's first-round pick in 2006, failing to pan out, Orlando had a huge void at shooting guard. Lee has great athleticism and a well-rounded game, as evidenced by his 281 career assists and 78 blocked shots. He did not shy away in big moments, recording 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals vs. UCLA in the Sweet 16.</div> Thoughts?
I'm loving it. I saw him in Tampa during the first round of the NCAA Tourney and the dude was sick. I'm pumped.
Very good pick. They now have a great shooter and a legit SG. Sounds like another player that was drafted and talked about very highly in college. Lets hope this one works out.
I wanted Arthur as well, but now I know there may be a kidney problem, so I can see why everyone passed....I dont know a lot about Courtney Lee, but he certainly looks like an NBA SG: <div align="center"> </div>
Good defense, good shooting, smart player, good size: What's there not to like? He'd be perfect to replace Evans.

He isn't from a big school which is why he dropped. Arthur, on the other hand, dropped because of a serious medical problem. I'd take Lee anyday.
I was watching the draft with my roommate and when Stern called Courtney Lee's name, he said "The Magic drafted a Chinese girl?" Anyway, I think Lee was a solid pick for the Magic, though I think they should have taken Arthur, even with the kidney problems. They came away with a good player though.
