So how does this work, if someone can tell me. So the player goes to Europe plays a few seasons and then whenever the team wants, he can come back and sign for a contract?

So Dumars didn't want to add any guaranteed salary to the team and didn't want to trade for future draft picks. That is an interesting strategy
I understand why Joe selected these guys, although we have needs for a backup Small Forward, a Centre and Point Guard. I would've liked to have seen him take a chance on DeAndre Jordan, Devon Hardin or Bill Walker, but I suspect Joe has somthing else in mind. I can't see any of these guys becoming permanent fixtures.
