Funny that these two guys are primarily responsible for the NBA finals. When two lifelong (in their GM careers) losers get together to make a trade, can there really be a winner? Mayo will be a stud and an all star, while Love will probably be a mediocre rotational player akin to Sean May. Just my .02

Just my .02 </div> The strange thing is they already have Jefferson in the post so why take Love? Is Love and Miller > Mayo? I don't know. He unloaded Walker and Jaric, but gained Cardinal. Strange trade. Another odd trade was Memphis picking up Arthur for Greene. Thought Greene was a strange pick for them since they had Gay and Warrick. If they wanted Arthur why not just draft him? They take Greene at #27 and Arthur went at #28. It's not like they gained a pick by stealing Greene from someone. Even if they kept Love they needed the bigman depth.
McHale is the worst GM in the history of the NBA. I really don't see the fit Love has next to Jefferson. They are both offensive-oriented PFs who need the ball in their hands to be successful. Both are undersized and neither of them are good defenders. Minnesota is as bad as the Knicks organization. Now Memphis is putting together a solid team. The Gasol trade leaves everyone speechless though. PG Conley Jr. SG Mayo SF Gay PF Warrick C Darko Now go get a PF/C

Poor guy went from last guy in green room to NO to Port to Hou to Mem in hours.
Why should we forget about Mike Miller??? Getting him from th Twolves should not be any more complicated than getting him from memphis was going to be...

He is not offensive minded, he simple was just to hard to stop in the block in college so of course the coach is having him scoring if he can't be stopped, but he in no means "needs" to be and offensive-oriented player. His passing will prove very useful when he's dumping it off to a slashing Foye or finding Miller for an open jumper. And as for compairing the Wolves to the state of the Knicks is crazy! Minnesota isn't bogged down with too many ridiculous contracts, they seem to have better chemistry, they have a promising young core and plenty of draft picks in the next couple years (9 picks in the next two years...6 picks next year, three 1st rounders and three 2nd rounders and in 2010 a 1st rounder and 2 second rounders) It seems to me that Minnesota's future is much brighter than New Yorks

Al Jefferson is not a center and has defensive issues at that position. Now he will have to play there permanently. And I don't see Love becoming a great defender to help mask Jefferson.

With this trade They get the Big man to compliment Big Al and a player who fill it up from the perimeter. And to top it all off they get Jaric's contracts out for a slightly less per year contract with one less year...just in time to have plenty of cap space in the projected great free-agent class of 2010. And with the young core they have, not to mention all the players they can get in the draft or trade for with those picks...Minnesota may be built a great team by the start of the 2011 season maybe sooner

I think it was Ghoti who said that in the span of just a couple of months Jason Collins has been traded for a #2 pick and a #3 pick. LOL
Hmmm Mike Millers contract expires in 2 years.... So he fits. We have enough young players to make it work if we wanted him. Something like Boone, Stro, Marcus and a future conditional pick
