Giving him #23 is such a horrible idea. The expectations are high enough.... Is he definately going to wear #1? Where did you get that info?
Bulls and Heat are the only two teams with #23 retired, so he would have had to change either way. He's #1 http://www.nba.com/bulls/roster/ I was skeptical at first, but than CSN reported he would be wearing #1. I was hoping he'd wear #12 or #22.
1 is a good number. I like 3 too. 23, no way. He would get boo'd. Best numbers are 1,3,25,22,12,00 or 99.

I gots to get me one!
on bulls website you can preorder a jersey but itll prolly be a replica, Ill wait till the swingmen come out
Don't expect too much from him this year, I hope I'm wrong but I get the feeling that Del Negro and Paxson are going to hold back the reigns on him for a better part of the season. I don't expect a Chris Paul esque season, but something between that and Deron so translation (13 points and about 6 assists a game best case).
As long as he's consistent out there, the stats shouldn't matter that much, like you said it'll be his first year, and with all the adjustments, it will be hard on him at times. And I agree about the stats, points will be anywhere between 10 to 15 and assists anywhere from 5 to 8.
Since the plan is to contend down the road.... I hope we plan on starting and playing Rose significant minutes. Otherwise, this season is a complete waste. Same goes with Tyrus.
This team can be good if we supply ourselves wit a team that is going to run. VDN has expressed that he wants the team to run, so I think tyrus will be getting minutes, but remember Skiles had trouble making him run his rookie year. He said that with his talent, all he has to do is run the floor and his scoring opportunities will present themselves.
Its hard to want to run (on the offensive side of the ball) when you know plays aren't being set for you. Tyrus runs plenty on the "D" end of the ball. He has a willingness to do it. But Skiles never ran any plays for Tyrus, so why would he hustle on "O." Skiles screwed the pooch there.
I think Skiles' complaint was the opposite, Vintage. That he'd hustle on the offensive end, but not run back on D or work that hard on D.
