Sean and Marcus sound like nice potential pieces to put around them.

Not sure what else they can get for him. Works for us because Marion is expiring and isn't a long term commitment for us.

I heard they were trying to get Brand with Marion, but with Beasley and Haslem there that doesn't make much sense. It's not like Brand can play center.

Do they see him or Haslem as a center? Marion makes no sense for Utah. I don't see why Utah would even entertain trading Boozer. They're on the verge.

Yi is 7ft tall and 240 lbs...no way should he be playing more than spot minutes at SF. He's athletic, but not that athletic. He would be a sieve defensively at the 3.

I know it's still early, but if you could only make a few tweaks and use the current team what would you do?

I would re-sign Krstic to either 2 years for $5-6mm total or the QO. See if he can bounce back and become more valuable.
I would try to trade KVH contract, Ager and Hassell to Seattle for Watson and Wilkins (both expire 2010). Saves Seattle some money and we get back-up pg and wing.
Trade Marcus for a future pick... 2nd rounder... heavily protected 1st... i don't care.

    Lineup:

    C: Krstic/Lopez/S. Williams
    PF: Yi/Boone/Swift
    SF: Simmons/Wilkins/Anderson
    SG: Carter/CDR
    PG: Harris/Watson

Decent mix of vets and young guys.

This is like the 3rd or 4th thread I've seen about line-ups, haha. I'll merge and re-name the original thread, so people don't get confused any more...

Why not play CDR at the 3 and Carter at the 2? Ager would then backup Carter and Simmons would play w/ CDR.

Because Frank's tendencies aren't to start a rookie from the start. Especially if a good veteran is available. The starting lineup will likely include Carter and Simmons.

No way. That needs to be switched. CDR has a WEAK, WEAK, WEAK frame. He is too skinny and puny to play the 3. There is a reason he wears a shirt under that Memphis jersey. He needs to add some lean muscle.

Like the Seattle trade, I thought of a similar one, it makes sense after they drafted Westbrook and they are going young.

I dont know what the market is for Krstic, so I agree hell stay for at least a little while longer. I would start Lopez in your scenario though.

I would want one more SG though. Maybe take a flier on Bellineli(and a 2nd) for Sean Williams
Or Swift, Ager, and S.Williams for Harrington and Bellineli. Harrington fits into the master plan, deal saves GS some money, so they can hang onto some of their bigger players.

Either way I would like to trade Swift for a shooter, and trade Marcus, maybe for Reddick. Or Marcus and Krstic for Reddick and Batie. Krstic fits with Orlando bc hes more effective from 15 feet, while Howards most effective 15 feet above the rim.

W/ the Seattle and GS deal
    Harris/Watson
    VC/CDR/Bellineli
    Harrington/Simmons
    Yi/Boone
    Lopez/Krstic

W/ the Seattle and Magic deal

    Harris/Watson
    VC/Reddick/CDR
    Simmons/Anderson
    Yi/SW
    Lopez/Boone

    Simmons/ Anderson
    Yi/ Swill
    Boone/ Lopez

Thats just for now, not sure about the backups...

Really interesting to see if Lopez wil get the starting job over Boone. I think he has more offense.

ITS really CRAZY seeing all these new fans because of YI!!!
