Monta is the perfect player for us because he can back up Harris but also start at shooting gaurd.</div> It'd probably only help the Warriors if he signed an offer sheet from you guys. According to S2's salary numbers you guys have 9.6 million in cap space without rookie contracts. Add in two first round picks and a second round pick and its probably down to 6 or less. Even if Monta signed an offer sheet for 9.6 I think the Warriors would match that, at 6-7 mils its a no-brainer. As for Pietrus, hes 75% gone. He'd been requesting a trade for about a year and a half, finally started playing well and playing more after the all-star break of last season but I still think hes gone. Warriors wouldn't take him back unless he comes very cheap and hes unrestricted. Baron will play out his contract and could very well be let go of after next season. </div> Someone's going to sign him and start him and have a much better record than otherwise. He may not put up jaw dropping stats, but he does change games in all the other ways. Even so, his stats aren't horrible for a guy who struggled to get PT. When he did get PT, I was quite impressed.

I think we need more of a defensive stopper at that 2/3 spot. like a bowen/battier type. I'm anxious to see how simmons comes back from injury... as he has a similar skillset
Monta is a big part of GSW's future...perfect fit for their system...not possible Josh smith..the same... Mickael Pietrus wants big contact... JR smith...no brainer...everytime i saw him or Odom7 on court i just could not help myself lol...but still so many team want him..not cheap...

well if monte is willing to consider an offer from the knicks for the MLE i dont see why we can do better?!?! HUH
Joshm Smith would be insane, but if the Hawks are worth anything they match. Not a ton of guys have a complete game like him. I think it would be worth it to offer him the max, but lets not get our hopes up. We could do a lot worse than Quinton Ross
we are not getting josh smith or monta! leave that dream alone. they are looking for someone with veteran experience to come in here at the backup pg and sf or pf position. it would be great if they could put a package together for brand and mobley.
