Trashes is too harsh of word.

And Kidd is actually right. I've watched the games, and it was quite clear Avery had no intention of giving Kidd freedom on the court. There was absolutely no running game, and Kidd was given the job of handling the ball upcourt, handing it off to a teammate, and relaxing on the perimeter. Explain to me where this is any of Kidd's fault.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Kidd said he is looking forward to playing for new coach Rick Carlisle, who has promised to let Kidd run the show.</div>

I look forward to it too. We'll be seeing a significant difference in Kidd's play as a Maverick next season.

It's Avery's fault he lost his team. Someone like Phil Jackson would have the skill to get his message across while realizing that the message doesn't matter if the team stops listening.

But it's not a coincidence that when they played like Avery wanted them to they went to the finals and when they didn't they got axed in the first round.

I think Dallas is better off without Avery, he ain't exactly Byron Scott. But hell yea, I'm happy the Nets can finally pick their next coach when Frank is fired.

[IMG] No way! I can't believe it. Who woulda thunk Kidd would say things like this?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Kidd also was amused by a recent comment attributed to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who complimented the Chicago Bulls on selecting guard Derrick Rose with the No. 1 pick in the draft.

Obama said Rose "is Jason Kidd with a jump shot."

"How am I always the butt of a joke?" Kidd said. "I’m going to have to talk to our next president about that."</div>

hahaha, Kidd got trashed by Obama. And Kidd called him the next president [IMG]

As I see it, everything Kidd said or implied was pretty much right. Avery was a control freak who micromanaged the offense and lost his team.

kidd can trash avery all he wants... but it wont solve any problems in dallas. Kidd isnt a good fit with that team. They dont have a 2 guard who can guard the quicker points that Jason has trouble with, and they dont have athletic guys to run with him.

I'm surprised by all the Jason Kidd hate, given everything he's done for your team.

Meh. Kidd is right about Avery and was certainly right about Scott. No big deal.

wait, Kidd has problems with a coach? wow, you must be kidding me. I'm shocked! SHOCKED!

Maybe he's just got a problem with black coaches? I know he's light skinned and all [IMG]

Wow i think that Kidd is just mad cause his career didn't go the way he thought. No rings and the biggest accomplishment of his career maybe the Olympic gold title. He's a good guy and lasted way longer with the Nets then i thought he would. He didn't really bash any of our coaches before he wanted his long awaited departure. Hopefully we can do what the New York Giants did and go yound and remove a vocal leader like Tiki(in this case Kidd) and remove injury prone player/old players and win a championship.

Some of you guys didn't even bother reading the article. Kidd didn't trash Avery in any shape or form.

    ?

He blamed AJ for their poor play at the end of the season and the 1st round exit. How is that not trashing?
