I don't want any of the young players to have one conversation with Marcus Williams.

Now that RJ's gone, there's only one more crappy attitude left to bring down the team.

Wherever they trade KVH's contract, Laptop should be right behind.

that was prety random but yeah, i remember being super excited when he fell to us but just out nets luck, he busts. farmar, rondo, lowry... all better options. whatever happened to him making the 20 teams that passed him up pay for not picking him up? We're the victims

I think there is a good chance he gets traded this offseason. I think he played well enough in his limited opportunities that someone has some interest in him. I also think at this point it is pretty well known that if he has a future it is as a starter because he doesn't have the mentality of a bench player. With a plethora of solid reserve PGs available this year, 2 of whom we have had public interest in in the past (Duhon, Pargo), I think Marcus will be out with an expiring deal for either a wing player or a vet big man.

Dumpy. I follow the Nets. You would have to have your head in the sand to not know how Marcus feels about Frank and his role on the team. It's been covered ad nauseum.

That's besides all the pouting, selfishness, not supporting his teammates, whining, blaming everyone but himself, excuses and just general douchebaggery.

    And his game sucks too.

I think marcus needs to go... but that all hinges on what we can do to secure a backup PG via FA/Trade.

I'd love to package Marcus/Swift for any warm body at the PG spot

Wait, is that serious? He's really rooming with Brandon Jennings?

I heard rumors he might end up playing in Europe for a year, and then coming to the draft after that.

Marcus needs a change of scenery and we need a lift off the bench. We lost all of our leads when he came in the game because of his lack of D and inability to run the plays. He needs to go for that reason alone.

He's been in a pretty poisonous environment with our leaders acting like jerkoffs and some people are more influenced by that than others, seeing the crap they pull and feeling it's ok to act similarly. He may be that kind of guy. He was also lauded as a PG but then benched for doing what he did in college and then was turned into more of a 2 guard. It's mixed signals all over and he's just not the right fit.

While I do agree with the body language argument, none of us know him personally to say what his attitude is but from a basketball standpoint he is not the right player for our team under coach Frank and for that reason alone should be traded.

That's the whole point for this thread.

Kidd, RJ and Magloire are gone, so the last guy left openly griping is Marcus.

I don't want him to talk to the new players even once, because that's damage that can't be undone.

Agreed, if we moved Marcus, I think it would be a great environment for all these new young guys.

    Yup, they are cousins.

That's only if he doesn't qualify academically. Brandon Jennings is the 2nd best player I've seen play in HS live, after Lebron. And that's ahead of Carmelo.

I get the point I just think you're being a tad over dramatic.

Seriously if all it takes is one talk with Marcus to screw up the rest of these kid's games then Frank has to go.

His attitude sucks because he hasn't improved. He does have the potential, but he hasn't improved like those guys have, and he blames it on Frank instead of himself. For two years now he needed to work on getting quicker, his defense, and his shot and it hasn't happened for him.

He definitely needs a change of scenery. The question is where and how. Don't see many options for moving him. Unfortunately the D-League option for sending him out to Colorado has come and gone.

It's a seed best left unplanted.

And if it starts growing, they don't have enough leadership to reverse it.
