<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Both Fred Kerber and Al Iannazzone are reporting the Nets may pursue New Jersey product J.R. Smith, even if he is restricted and the Nuggets say they’ll match whatever offer he receives. While other restricted free agents are appealing, they would hurt the Nets chances in pursuing Lebron James. Iannazzone hears the Nets tried to acquire a late first round pick to take Chris Douglas-Roberts.

Well that would be a completely pointless exercise as Denver would love to match a MLE offer

How much is Smith going to have to be offered to have the Nuggets decline to match?

I would love to have him but we all know this is just bull........more realistic options are as follows, Mickael Pietrus, Devin Brown, Matt Barnes, Quinton Ross, Roger Mason, Kareem Rush, Keyon Dooling, Chris Duhon, Jannero Pargo, Maurice Evans, Juan Dixon and Jarvis Hayes.

I say we get Pietrus and Dixon, or duhon

i really hope we at least try and make a solid offer that will make it difficult on denver to match. I like JR alot, and i think he could become a Star if he got the oppurtunity to start

i really liked how roger mason played in the playoffs. duhon would be a nice fit also. pietrus i think would fit well here if he was a starter.

juan dixon would be a waste.

That is an interesting tid bit on CDR. Realizing how bad they will be for a while, they must have figured it wasn't worth it to move a future 1st for a late first (in this draft).

They need a point guard we could try and work out a sign and trade with them by throwing in Marcus Williams
