LMFAO, I forgot how hard he went at "Kwa-MAY' Brown. Harsh.

To make this a legit thread, I've got a feeling we're going to sign Kwame Brown this summer. Kobe loves him, Phil likes him, he knows the trian...actually, he's played in the triangle...I think he'll be back.

I thought the main goal this offseason was to get tougher and go after guys with experience. Kwame gives us none of that. I for one, don't want him back. I'm relieved we don't have to watch someone turnover the ball everytime on offense. No thanks.

    Brian, you're wrong:

Kwame's a hell of a lot tougher than Gasol. I'd actually take Kwame back on this team. I don't think Mbenga will be brought back.

    Dude, Kwame Brown sucks

I don't trust him at all. He has a small brain, and he's weak mentally. We don't need anymore of these players. The Celtics beat us with toughness. Can Kwame provide that? I doubt it. He has a big body but I've never really seen do anything with it. That Boris Diaw incident was great, but that's the only time I remember him being assertive in his Laker career. After that game against the Suns this season, the whole team had to go up to him and comfort him, as if he was a little kid or something. He can't handle the pressue. Not to mention he has absolutely no offensive game whatsoever. I still remember all those times when he would turnover the ball because he couldn't catch it, and kill all our momentum. That's not something I want happening, especially if we are going to make the Finals next season, where every possession counts. We would literally be playing 4 on 5 against a very good Boston offense (assuming we meet again). I personally think there's better options out there we can pursue, like Kurt Thomas or even Brian Skinner. Hell, if it was me, Mbenga would be back next season, and I'd use him as Bynum's backup.

Btw, Kwame couldn't even get any minutes on a horrible Memphis Grizzlies team

I agree with you. Mbenga > Brown.

I love Mbenga!!!! Dacos > Bynum! (ok, not really on that one).

We need to target someone like Kurt Thomas this offseason. He would be ideal.

If Alonzo Mourning still wants to play, and he still has something left in the tank, he would be a great option as well. We need to add more toughness and more experience.

Your posts are so damn annoying.

I'd offer Gasol and picks for Brand in a S&T.

    Baron Davis? No.

Zo and Thomas aren't going anywhere. You can count on it.

The only players I see us getting are Kwame and Posey.

Keep dreaming on Posey. The Lakers might "pursue" him, but I doubt he leaves Boston. And as good of a player as he is, I couldn't stand him on this team. He's a punk that I've hated for at least a few years now, for multiple reasons. The main one I can think of at the moment is his tackle of Kirk Hinrich in the playoffs a couple years back. I guess he forgot what sport he was playing.

As for Kwame.....if he wants to sign for league minimum, why not? He's a big body and is a solid post defender. Too bad you can't rely on him for any offense whatsoever.

If somehow Chris Mihm decides to hang it up next year, I wouldn't mind giving Kwame the vet's minimum if he becomes our third string center. But having Chris and Kwame on the bench is just wasting roster spots
