    Yeah, Boone is such a mess in his second season. [IMG]

    That was not Frank. Boone was given a chance and he made the best of it.

    </div>

    Not surprisingly, that makes no sense.

    He made the best of the chance he was given. If Frank was anything near a good coach Boone would of started before Collins a long time before.
    </div>

    He was injured. Maybe you should research Josh Boone so you know more about him.

    When did young players strive under Frank?
    </div>

    Frank has given plenty of young players opportunities to play and even start - even though he was under a lot of pressure to win with a veteran team.

    Some of them were good enough to help the team win, like Krstic, Boone and Nachbar - but most of them were substandard players who didn't work hard enough and squandered their chances, like Marcus Williams and Antoine Wright.

    I doubt any coach in the league trying to win a title would have been as patient with Wright as Frank was.

    Management didn't give him the luxury of being able to develop young bench players, choosing instead to saddle him with horrible veterans like Jeff McInnis, Malik Allen and Jamaal Magloire.

    Even so, Frank was able (and sometimes had) to get young players involved and got what he could out of what few strengths they brought.

    Now the situation is much different, and it will be a lot easier for him to be patient and develop players in whatever manner and time frame he chooses.

    As someone who doesn't like Coach Frank, I can say that you're giving people who don't like Frank a bad name; please, stop.
    </div>

    Oh, But Frank ruins all young talent.
    </div>
    Yeah, Boone is such a mess in his second season. [IMG]
    </div>

    That was not Frank. Boone was given a chance and he made the best of it.

    </div>

    Not surprisingly, that makes no sense.
    </div>

    He made the best of the chance he was given. If Frank was anything near a good coach Boone would of started before Collins a long time before.
    </div>

    He was injured. Maybe you should research Josh Boone so you know more about him.
    </div>

    I take Boone on one leg over Collins anyday of the week.
    </div>

    Your joke just points out how stupid your criticism of Frank really is.
    </div>

    Ok, snince Frank is so good show me all the key big wins we have had under him? Atleast Scott can show two Eastern Conf. championships.

    Frank is among the worst HEAD Coaches in the NBA.
    </div>

    You were asked how Frank "ruins all young talent", your answers were stupid and you couldn't defend them.

    Now we are supposed to take your unsupported opinion seriously?
    </div>

    When did young players strive under Frank?
    </div>

    Marcus Williams is a terrible player with no future here and probably no future anywhere. I wish we would just waive him.

    I'd like to see what Marcus can do with another chance. He's still very, very young with enormous talent. He was poised to take a step forward last season, but his foot injury interfered with his development. I can understand why he was frustrated last season; by all accounts he had worked hard in the off-season, and then he was back at square one. Remember, after Kidd was traded and before Devin was healthy, he was thrust into a starter's role without any preparation, and he did OK. They were 3-4 with Marcus as a starter, after he had played a TOTAL of about SIX MINUTES in the previous four games. He also continued to play well for the next week aftee Devin took over, when he was still playing more than 20 minutes a game. Just look at his game log from Deb. 13 through March 8. He still has the potential to be a pretty good backup, and a solid rotation player. A lot of the complaints seem to stem from his personality and the fact that he doesn't seem to play well when he just plays for a handful of minutes per game. He's still just a kid, playing a position of leadership.

    I have my doubts, though.

    Maybe.

    Another idea is that you check this stat sheet and find his name on it. Now look in the 7th column.

    He didn't look much better this year, and his injuries certainly didn't help that.
    </div>
    Ha, pretty funny that guys like Aaron Gray, Coby Carl and J.J. Redick all had higher verticals than Marcus. And just about everyone had less body fat.

    Lets get some perspective here.

    Everyone agrees he is talented. Everyone agrees he's a terrible defender (which isn't really a death knell if you're a point guard, and can also be improved). And (hopefully) everyone agrees that point guard is the toughest NBA position to learn, with some guys taking 4-5 years to really get it down. Some players pick it up quicker, but I think we can all agree that Marcus didn't show a whole lot maturity over his college career. I mean, he couldn't even get in shape for the combine measurements. So, I think we can all agree he, at least entering the NBA, had a lot of growing to do as a person.

    Now, for some people that growth never happens. But let's not forget the kid is 22. It's not like a perennial bad attitude is a forgone conclusion yet. Honestly, it seems more like his issues are tied to confidence than pride (granted, in the NBA, that can be just as bad: see Wright, Antoine).

    All I'm saying is, Marcus could certainly mope himself out of the league, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he managed to turn his career around on another team. It's a little early to pass final judgment.

    He's still got Josh on the same team as him. That might help his confidence issues, knowing you have a guy on the team who you've known for at least 5 years.
