So says Brett Yormark, in explaining why the Nets are streaming today's press conference over the internet.

Do you really mean that, Brett? How can I get a pass to attend a summer league game in Orlando? It's within driving distance for me. Thanks.

[p.s., whoever from the Nets FO reads this board, please pass this on for me . . . ]

They should host the summer league in the Prudential Center.

Why not? It's just a 20 min. drive from East Rutherford and Secaucus. Fans could take mass transit, sit in spacious seating in the lower bowl, enjoy the blast of air conditioning, eat Devils cheeseburgers and drink coke while watching Ryan Anderson hoist three's all day.

No, never were. Closed to all but the team personnel and media. It's a practice facility with limited seating.

    My bad.

Have they ever considered broadcasting them? Sure some would be interested in watching. Or at least including the highlights (footage) on their site.

Watching the Summer League games is a Nets board tradition!

*also, mass spam emails to the announcers

The announcers of Summer League are a blast.
They enjoy the completely off the wall / geek humor emails they get just as much as the people writing them.

I probably sent them 25 last year and they did read a few live, and even responded seriously to one!

Summer League is a blast to watch, I hope they increase their bandwidth this year because last year the late afternoon games got REALLY laggy.

Two years ago I was in a hotel five minutes from the practice facility and I had to drive 120 miles to my mother's house to watch the blurry internet feed and listen to those ass clowns George and Dante.

Hell no! I love staying with my Mother! I just didn't want to drive 2 hrs. back and forth to Orlando.
