Hello, one and all to the very first <u>s2 Raptors vs. Nets competition. </u>Back on JBB, we had competitions between rival teams (e.g., Rockets vs. Lakers, Raptors vs. Magic/Celtics, etc...). But, since here the Nets have the biggest fan base, I've decided to start this competition. What this competition will be is two posters (1 being a Raps fan, and 1 being a soft Nets fan) will make a bet. Points, sig, avy, where they can post (only in the Nets forum if they are a Raptors fan), whatever. It can't be anything ban worthy, (e.g., Go to L he is...). However, other than that, anything goes. You make the bets and how long they last. Now, I know there will be a lot of argument here, and I love that. However, lets keep the personal attacks down to, NONE. It's okay to go and have some jokes here and there, a few small jabs, but under no circumstances can there be a personal attack. Lets keep this fun, competitive and most of all, another way to show the Nets, that the Raptors mean business. So, come on down, one and all. Nets vs. Raptors. Pick your opponent and I will edit the first post with the competition, who's in it and how long the bet lasts. Notice how he makes this thread when the Nets are in a rebuilding process. Sadly, it still remains true to this day, Nets>Raptors.
You can argue, but you make bets on which games, which player will do better. Like Moon vs. Williams is a bet Jigga and I will probably have. What happens is there are 4 games between the Raps and Nets. When the NBA schedule comes out, I will post those games. You make a bet with someone you call out. Example, I go Jigga, Moon will have more points then Swat during the first game between the Raps and Nets. He'll say no, because he lives in a fantasy world, and then there will be the wager. I say, sig bet, 2 months. He agrees and we wait and see.
I know, but here is where we start the debating about the players and get some good discussion going and we can pick our opponents before we start. Also, you don't have to be a Raptors or Nets fan to be in this. If you don't like the Nets (which I understand), then come take a bet as a Raptor fan. Or, if you feel like playing Russian Roulette, pick a bet as a Nets fan.
The Nets are going to be horrible this year... First bet: Nets home attendance will be over/under 14,000.
I bet Vince Carter will average more points per game than Bosh. Even though Carter will be one year further removed from his prime and Bosh will be one step closer. As well Bosh averaged more ppg last year than Carter, 22.3 ppg vs. 21.3 ppg.

Okay, um, in the third game between the Nets and the Raptors, I predict that Anthony Parker will commit more personal fouls than Brook Lopez. I challenge BasX to agree or disagree. I am willing to wager ten reputation points.

The only reason I am thinking March 1st is because it can get slow for the month of March for NBA. The allstar game is over, no more trades. And playoffs are not until like mid April. Oh as well each player must play at least 25 games by that point in time. Since you are gonna lose, I am thinking your sig will be a Carl Brutananadilewski sig, proclaiming Carl is way cooler than MasterShake.

How about which 2nd round pick "does better:" Jawai vs CDR and seeing as it's subjective (better) we have to argue it out and see who wins based on a consensus
