With Brand and Maggette opting out the Clippers have a ton of cap space right? What if they use it to get a PG and SG and then they resign both Maggette and Brand? What about sending Carter over to the Clippers for some cap relief and picks? Nets tank hard next two years and get top picks and build up for their target of 2010 free agents.

All these guys would have been great pick-ups two years ago when we had a 30 plus year old point guard.

He should take the full MLE and sign on with the Lakers ; ]

    He wouldn't have to move!

For real, I think he wants a pay day. Philly could offer him that, which I think they might just do that. I'd love for the Lakers to try and pursue a sign and trade with the Clippers for Brand. I'd easily give up Gasol for him.

Wow the NBA is gonna have another dogfight of a season...

Iguodala and Brand would make some noise, so will orlando if they acquire Maggette... Thats 2 more contenders for the top seeds...

With Bynum healthy, i wouldnt give up Gasol... the 2 WILL compliment each other with Gasol's passing and flexibility and Bynum's shotblocking and power down low...

I also feel the sixers will try and snag him

I think the Gasol/Bynum duo is going to be awesome, but I just love the defensive tenacity that Brand plays with. Gasol is so soft, I can't stand it.

The Celtics should send half of the team for him. And then have a starting lineup of Rondo, Allen, Pierce, KG, Brand.

That would be too good to happen. haha

Brand apparently also has a massive wingspan for his height.

Brand for this team makes no sense, the goal is LeBron James in 2010 there is no further debate about this. Although if I were Elton Brand I sign w/ Miami or Orlando.

I dont see any big splash this summer.

Expect a Pietrus/Ross kind of off season
