My question is since he is owned by china what kind of punishment will they do to him, can they prevent him from playing in the nba next season? I hope he finishes there and comes to jersey. This whole china thing makes me nervous. He's been americanized, and china is a bit too conservative for me.

I think you guys missed the point. Says he "broke training". As in, he pretty much broke the rules. His first priority was the Chinese National Team. He wasn't supposed to be there. If he'll do this for China in the Olympics, who's to say he won't do this to the Nets..?

The only problem is he isn't allow to go out when he's training for the Olympics, kinda like a curfew thing... and he broke his "curfew" thats why people are making such a big deal out of it. I don't see this as a problem at all, I mean he was just going out with his gf I don't see what's the big deal.
