Seems like we have a lot of pretty good players, but no great ones. Especally in the frontcourt. I expect Ager, Marcus, Stromile, Trenton Hassel(If another team is nice enough to take him) and obviously KVH to be shopped heavily, and we will be asking for just one player in return for someone taking 2 or 3. I think all these players wont be on the roster next year, except Hassel b/c we would basically have to throw in a pick for someone to take him so I believe we will just bite the bullet with him for the next 2 years. Harris/ X VC/CDR X/Simmons ------------- Anderson (I dont know what to do w/ this guy) Yi/Sean Williams Lopez/ Boone I believe we will sign Rush and Pietrus and try and find a package for Earl Watson or an Earl Watson type, to tighten up the rotation a little.
Seems to me the Nets front office is willing to sacrifice the next two seasons for a crack at the 2010 free agency.

Then again, our ticket/marketing sales are going to go through the roof this year regardless of how they play. Still, I imagine even in China the team will be more interesting if it's good enough to win some games.

Of course, with Rod and Kiki drafting, that isn't a good plan.

And Bill was doing some spying for us.

This was expected once Kidd helped accelerate the rebuild process for Thorn. It's a rebuilding. The Nets will find out who are players and who aren't amongst, Yi, Sean, Boone, Harris, Lopez, CDR, and Anderson, in addition to next year's first, the 2010 first and the Mavs first. The kids will get PT, its development time and discovery time as well as scout time for the Nets. Plus there will be trades and other additions.....plus after this coming season, say a CDR puts up 10 points a night in 30 miinutes, can he do it in back to back seasons...same as Lopez, Yi. There is opportunity to see what will stick, and by 2010-2011, you plug in Lebron and whatever vet pieces you can entice into Brooklyn. You'd hope one of these guys can eventually be Robin to Lebron's Batman.....
