Can LT and his boys get it done this season?

    1. San Diego Chargers- Although I'm not a big Rivers fan for personal reasons, I really like LT. I don't see the Chargers competing for a Super Bowl this year, but I see them getting pretty deep.

    2. Oakland Raiders- Yeah I went there! I like JaMarcus Russell, who get the starting job early in the season if not right away, Jordan at the halfback, and the addition of Javon Walker at the wideout gives the Raiders a pretty potent offense, along with an already solid defense.

    3. Denver Broncos- I'm just not sold on Cutler yet. I see him needing one more year as a starter making rookie like mistakes before he develops into the quarterback he should become

    4. Kansas City Chiefs- With questions at quarterback, which always makes things problematic, and a developing but still young defense, I see struggles for KC this season.

Chargers have the 2nd weakest scheduled in the league and the most talent, they may have the division sewn up before Halloween....I expect them to win 14 games or more in the regular season....

    I agree with TheBeef.

Chargers have arguably the most talent in the NFL.... Combine that with an easy schedule and they should win it.

    1. Chargers, are one of the best teams in the NFL at this point, and a contender.

    2. Broncos, an interesting team to watch out for.

    3. Raiders, don't really know that much about them.

    4. Chiefs, just a gut feeling they'll be last in AFC West.

    2. Chargers - AJ hasn't completely dismantled Marty's team yet
    3. Broncos - Because I hate them less than the Raiders
    4. Raiders - Al Davis. Enough said.</span></span></span>

    <u>Reality check</u>
    1. Chargers - LT. Any questions
    2. Chiefs - Young team doesn't realize they aren't supposed to win
    3. Raiders - Loaded up this off season. For results see Snyder, Daniel
    4. Broncos - Seem to be headed in the wrong direstion imo.

I definitely think the Chargers will be at the top of the division again, and I liked how Rivers seemed to develop a bit at the end of the season, and played through a serious injury against the Pats.

I don't know if he'll be great or anything, but those were some positive signs I thought I should bring up.

Chiefs had a haul of a draft.

Dorsey, Albert, Flowers, Charles, Cottam, Morgan, Franklin, etc.

If Dorsey can come in and have an instant impact, it will help free things up for Hali on the outside. It will also give them another guy who can rush the QB and help the run defense. Albert should be able to contribute immediately on an OL that is getting up there (in age) and low on talent. Flowers was an excellent corner in college and can probably come in and compete for a nickel role. Jamaal Charles should be able to provide a nice change of pace for Larry Johnson.

Admittedly, I don't know a lot about KC's safety situation.... should Morgan be able to challenge for a starting position right away?

And Franklin might be able to contribute some.... but with KC being a more run oriented team, I doubt he impacts too much offensively as a rookie (and at WR, a hard position to make an instant impact).

If they get a lot of contribution from their rookies, they could win 6,7, maybe 8 games.

If not, this clearly is a rebuilding season for them. And they have added a lot of pieces to that puzzle via this last draft.

Chargers <-- 1st round bye too

Broncos <-- solid run game, Cutler MAY develop, defense is good not spectacular.
Raiders <-- defense could vault them past the Bronco's but not into the playoffs
Cheifs <-- growing pains with the youth

    1. Chargers. They are simply one of the most talented teams in the league.

    2. Raiders. I am somewhat counting in Jamarcus showing some signs this year. Add in McFadden, and the offense will have some spark that it lacked before. I really like what they've done defensively (talent wise; not spending wise). Gibril Wilson is a solid S and should make a nice S tandem with Huff. Hall, while overpaid and overrated, should be a nice #2 CB to pair with Aso (who is a great CB). They have nice, young, athletic LBers in Howard and Morrison. Upfront, Kelly is improving, Burgess is a good player; but they need to get more of a push from them. But this team has enough talent defensively to win games.

    3. Broncos

    4. Chiefs

(As much as I just backed the Raiders, I could just as easily see them being the worst team in the division).

    1. Chargers 10-6

    2. Raiders 8-8

    3. Broncos 7-9

    4. Chefs 5-11

This division plays against the AFC South teams this year, which will feast on the AFC West teams. I would be surprised if any of the West teams get a single victory against any South team.
