    I hate #1

    1. Dallas Cowboys- Not the team. I hate TO, Pacman "Adam" Jones, and Tony Romo. But despite all that, they have talent at every position and we could see them playing for a Super Bowl this year,

    2. Philadelphia Eagles- This all depends on Donnovan McNabb's health. If he can stay healthy, which is almost too much to ask these days, they could be a very good team in the NFC this year. Not Cowboys good, but pretty good. The addition of Asante Samuel doesn't hurt.

    3. New York Giants- The loss of Michael Strahan will hurt them dramatically on the defensive end. They lose leadership on both sides of the ball, and who knows whether Eli Manning will find a consistency to be a great quarterback in this league. He does have a Super Bowl under his belt though.

    4. Washington Redskins- Not a bad team, just in a pretty stacked division. Portis will show up, Campbell might. And with a just alright defense, spot 4 seems rather fitting.

    Why do you hate Romo?

The one thing you can count on in this division is that it will be brutal.

3 teams made the playoffs last year.

I absolutely love watching how this division plays out. No matter how I predict it before the season, it always ends up surprising me somehow. Right now I'd say:

    Dallas
    NY Giants
    Philadelphia
    Washington

But NY has a tenuous hold on the second spot. All this pre-training camp drama has me edgy.

    Cowboys of course [IMG]
    Redskins (I think they'll surprise)
Eagles (McNabb will get injured and thus the slip to 3rd)
    Giants (SB headache awaits)

Why are the Superbowl champ Giants out of the picture of the playoffs and even last in the division.

    If anything this happens.

    Dallas (12-4)
    NY (11-5)
    Phili (10-6)
    Wash (8-8)

    or

    3 team make the playoffs

    Dallas (12-4)
    Philli (11-5)
    NY (10-6)
    Wash (8-8)

because I think they were a flash in the pan. Half way through the season they were struggling and could have fallen apart. They put together an impressive streak and got hot at the right time. I think this year teams will be gunning for them and they'll lose a lot of games.

I agree with Washington finishing last in the division.

Can you believe they are trying to install a WCO with Jason Campbell and Moss/Randle El as WRs? It should be comical to watch (and good for our teams).

I also think you guys finish ahead of Philly.

I am curious to see how Eli does this year. Is he going to pick up where he left on in the playoffs? Or are we going to see the old Eli?

Obviously, I am hoping for ol' Eli....

But where do you think you guys are headed?

I personally think you're going to be fine (well, as much as you can be when losing a HOF DE). Tuck is ready to step in. And you guys will have Kiwi coming back from injury and can still do a similar package to your Four Aces package of last year.

Right now on offense we drafted Mario Manningham and Andre Woodson. So we got younger and an absolute steal at Manningham and Woodsin to develop. We have good runningbacks. An above average offensive line. A great set of recievers. And of course Manning and signed Dave Carr.

On defense we lost more than we wanted to. Gibril Wilson, Micheal Strahan, William Joseph(thank god), Mitchell and Torbor.
We replaced most of these with signings of Sammy Knight, Renaldo Wynn and Danny Clark.
We also drafted great again with Kenny Phillips, Terrell Thomas, Bryan Kehl, Goff and Henderson.
We replaced our safety and got depth at the D-line. Got good linebackers. Cornerbacks we have to much depth at. And of course our biggest off season move we got Steve Spagnola.

Yeah i know a little bit.

Manningham was a little more trouble than I was interested in spending a 3rd round pick on, though he does have talent.

I was really interested in Andre Woodson though....was a little surprised he was available that late on day 2. Thought you guys made an excellent pick there. At one point, he was viewed as a high first rounder. Plenty of talent there, even if his release is a bit slow. Kenny Phillips was a very nice pickup by you guys. Gibril Wilson was a pretty solid S for you guys, but not worth the money he commanded. I think you did better by letting him go and drafting Phillips.

What did you think of Kiwi's transition to LBer? At times, I thought he looked good; other times, he looked completely lost (Dallas game comes to mind).

When you guys drafted him a couple years ago, I nearly cried. I was really, really, really high on him. Hated to see you guys get him. He's going to be a phenomenal pass rusher in the near future.

I saw that he was growing and becoming better in pass d(anything was better than game 1 vs dallas). I think that hes going to be used at DE this year more than most. He will start games but we will use Kehl at linebacker(were really high on him). Overall i still think were solid.

And btw ur the nicest cowboy fan that ive met in a while.

Dallas should be considered the favorites to win the division. After all they won it last year.

Their championship helped them tremendously in the playoffs too...oh wait.

It was an up-and-down year for him, but he really did start to show some progress (the Dallas game was one of his worst, IMO). Unfortunately that was just about when he had that season-ending injury. I think he's going to benefit a lot from Spag's defensive scheme. He doesn't have to read-and-react on every single play, that role's Antonio Pierce's alone. Instead, Spags likes to set him up in blitz situations all over the field where he can just wreak havoc. He will need to get better in coverage, but I fully believe he can deliver what we expect from that outside linebacker spot.

I'm interested to see how Woodson ends up too. The Giants have been really excited about the prospect of developing another QB in their system. I think their hoping they can pawn him off down the road for a higher draft pick than the one they selected him with.

No one is saying that winning the division helped us in the playoffs....

But we did win the division last year. And we swept you in the regular season. So its easy to see why people are torn between putting Dallas or NY first in the division; there are legitimate reasons for both.

Similar to what GB did with Brooks, Hasselback, etc...

I've always liked that idea; wish we'd do it too....

What I've always feared is that they'll line up Kiwi overtop Osi and send both.... one of two things will need to happen: Either the TE picks up the blitzing Kiwi and the LT picks up Osi..... or they block down; LT picks up Kiwi, and the OG picks up Osi.

Either way, those matchups will favor your team more often than not.

Something I am not really looking forward too. And if you really want to be brutal, you line up Tuck inside when this happens, at the 3 technique....... next to Osi.

I was never high on DeOssie i just hope he keeps on tearing it up on special teams, he might be second string, either he or Blackburn should get cut though.
