    Boy, this division sucks....

    1. Arizona Cardinals- Nice offense. Not so nice defense. Being a big basketball guy, I could see this team being the pre-Shaq Phoenix Suns of the NFL. Lots of offense, little D. Both in Arizona..WOW!!

    2. St. Louis Rams- Bulger is good when healthy. That will be the big thing. You know Torry Holt will be there to produce. It all depends on how everyone else plays.

    3. San Fransisco 49ers- I'm not big Alex Smith fan, but this team did go 8-8 a couple years ago. If Smith, RB Frank Gore and rising star tight end Vernon Davis can get this team going, who knows?

    4. Seattle Seahawks- I see a grim future for this team. They just don't strike me as a team going anywhere anytime soon. I know mot don't have them last, but I don't like this team Mike Holmgren will have to spend his last year with. Hey, maybe I'm wrong...

Even though the Seahawks have won this division for the past several years, I don't see them, or anybody else, as clear favorites to win the NFC West. The Seahawks probably are the favorites by default until somebody knocks them off, but I don't see any great teams in the division, they all have weaknesses. Any one of the four teams could rise up and be a pretty good team, and any one of the four teams could have a really bad year. Go Seahawks!

This is the big IF division IMO. If the Rams are healthy they should win it, shakey defence and all.
IF the hawks have something left in the tank and Julius Jones just needed a change of scenery, they can take it.
IF the Smith puts it together the 49ers COULD win the division.
IF the Cards have some consistancy on D, they COULD win it all.

    IMO it'll be
    Rams
    Seahawks
    Cards
    49ers.

Hawks MAY get a wild-card spot.

I have it like Celtics Fan (except with Seattle and St Louis reversed).

Seattle has the best combination of offense/defense in that division. They have the most consistent QB of the bunch; they have plenty of options at RB, solid WRs....

Defensively, if Trufant has another good year like he did last year, they have a pretty good CB tandem, some great LBers (everyone always talks about Lofa and Julian....but Leroy Hill is underrated), and when healthy, they have a nice DL rotation.

I think losing Josh Brown was a big loss though. He was a good Kicker for them.

St Louis has the second best QB in the division, and if they can keep him upright, they'll be better than last year. They have some major holes defensively (particularly in the run game). Long and Carriker look like a nice tandem, add in Little off the edge (and Witherspoon coming in at DE in certain packages), and they should be able to create more pressure next year.

yeah either or can win the division, I think a healthy Bulger and a full year of steven Jackson will put the Rams over the top.

now watch Bulger go down in week 3 [IMG]
