<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Raptors also signed former New Jersey Net Hassan Adams to be a back-up at the wing position. A noted defender and spectacular dunker, Adams was cut in New Jersey because the Nets were up against the luxury tax threshhold after the 2006-07 season and spent last season playing in Europe.

He wowed the Raptors at a recent free agent camp and earned himself a one-year league minimum contract with a team option for a second year, much like Jamario Moon did last season.

"It's a great fit for Hassan," said David Lee, Adam's agent. "He can lock down ones, twos and threes and will bring the Raptors the kind of toughness they haven't seen in a while."

Signing Adams almost certainly means Carlos Delfino, a restricted free agent, won't be back with Toronto. It's expected he may return to Europe to play.</div>

We can't compare everyone to Carter, but Hassan could throw the rock down!

I love Hassan Adams. Anyone remember him on that old LA Clippers show when he was just in high school?

delfino shot 40% from 3 last year right? and the nets are lacking in shooting and depth at the wing position...delfino for the minimum?

great pickup by the raptors...hassan is absolutely ferocius in defense ( i remember he would viciously slap the ball (or boki's arm) out of boki's hands everytime nachbar tries to take a shot in practice ) and is a hard worker (when on the court, at least...he has had weight problems in the past)

Delfino's going to get a pretty substantial offer from a European team and the Raps are limited in how much money they can spend.

Hassan is one of the best pregame huddle hype men in the league. Just check out some of these moves:

Those were dance moves? I think teams might have seen that and thought he was prone to spazms.

It's a side effect of those dance moves.

Good for 'ol Hassan. This could be a real nice signing for Toronto if they do indeed keep him around. I miss him rockin' a Nets uni but it is what it is. Enjoy him Raptor fans.
