If Lebron is a student of the game, he'll know he needs another alpha dog to run with in order to win a title.. kinda he would get playing with Pierce and KG Fact of the matter his it's 2 years away and who knows how he'll feel at that time. Right now he's spouting off because he's frustrated by the Cavs lack of success in acquiring the right talent.
In a way he's kind of KG, he wants to win a championship so bad, and he wants to be the best player ever. 65% chance that he stays in Cleveland, 30% chance that he goes to a contender, 5% chance that he joins the Brooklyn Nets. Now if you become a contender by that point, then add the 5 and 30 and you have 35% chance of getting him, much better than it is now.
gotta wonder how VC feels about having to play baby-sitter for the next two years.. mabye see that classic VC scowl and sulk?
Ah! Celtics fans have infiltrated the Nets board! Now they know of our diabolical plan to attract Lebron to NJ with Kwame Brown... Idk if I could see him going to the Celtics, when PP will be 33 and KG will be 34. Who knows what injuries could have struck him by then.

One trade later he went. The rest is history. You never know.

They're not similar and you can't compare the two. KG is almost at the end of his career, LeBron will be at the top level in 2010. Boston had Pierce and then brought Allen.
I'd say it's 65/35 or 60/40 LeBron stays in Cleveland. A lot of things need to come together, on and off the court, but that doesn't mean that doing what we are doing, positioning ourselves for 2010, wasn't the right move. In fact, it's not even close.

The point is KG didn't want to go there until they made the move to bring in Allen. Who knows what move the Nets can make in the next 2 years.

Cavs could bring in some real crap - see: Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marko Jaric, Mike James. And the Nets could bring in some real talent - possibly trading Vince's expiring for a star who wants to leave his team, a la Ray Ray.
