Oh wait...

If the Nets sign him, he will make a much bigger impact than any of the recent aquisitions.</div> haha </div> It's actually not funny. Pietrus will play about 25-30 minutes a night and easily can give us 12-14 ppg and will instantly be our best perimeter defender, which this team has none of. The only player possible, that we have recently aquired, whom is capable of giving that kind of production is Yi. So I don't see the joke.
JR Smith is not the Nets' radar, they wont give anyone more than 2 years, and JR is def looking for that. Better focus on Pietrus. And looks like Kwame Brown is a big possibility, yikes.

However, he attempts to be too physical with his arms and picks up fouls against the better wings. I've seen him give opposing PG's fits because of his speed and size.
Dave D says that the Nets won't give him more than 2 years, but I'm not convinced. I really do think Smith for the midlevel is a bargain, it's just a question of whether you think he's a Stephen Jackson type knucklehead or a Ricky Davis type knucklehead. If they were to get him though, they'd need to find a way to ship off Carter before the 2010 free agency rush.

Not saying they dont like him or Josh Childress as players, but they know those two are the probably going to get high offers from their own team or other teams, so they didnt even bother with them.
