Hello, I'm new here. Bulls have too many guards and Nets too many Bigs. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>There haven’t been any reports to this effect, but it sure looks to me like the Nets might want an experienced combo guard like Kirk Hinrich in exchange for a center they apparently no longer value. So I think that’s a possibility, and while it might not be an exciting one it could be a very practical one, particularly if Gordon and Deng both stick around for one-year contracts.</div> chicago.nationalsportsreview.com

Well I don't think it hurts to have another pg, it's a long strenuous season. Just in case one of them gets hurt there would be a backup. I also agree that we needs a sf for our team. Maybe we can do a sign and trade for Ron Artest, because I know for a fact that he regrets not opting out of his contract with the Sacramento Kings. He also have only 1 year left, so if it works out we might resign him, and if not we can let him go next year.

we'd have to include Swift to make contracts work, unless Krstic gets more money, where we could put in Hassell or KVH instead. But despite the financial aspect, this would be a very good move. He'll only make 9M in 2010, I think we'd still have a lot of cash left. Hinrich or Harris could play the 2, and Vince could move to the 3. He wasn't great last year, but he was really good the year before. Plus, this would improve our perimeter defense, it would be really, really good with Harris and Hinrich together. If we could do this (I doubt it tho) we really should. (Assuming we couldn't get Smith or Childress.)
Hinrich's contract goes beyond the 2010 season, so in keeping with the Nets plans it wouldn't seem they would target him.
Welcome new guys! Any questions feel free to PM me or any other mod. If we S&T Krstic it's going to be for a wing and his contract won't go past 2010.

Just that when I heard Henrich, made me sit up, because he's got a good rep for his talent. Maybe Nets can do a 3 way get a SF/SG. Henrich is a combo guard, so he can put up some points.
Welcome to S2 Malorkayel. What sports you're interested in and what teams you root for? (if I can ask)
well i think kurt would be a good pick up... but it would give us the same dilema that the bulls had when kurt and ben were on the floor at the same time... unless you guys think kurt can guard the 2 or devin can...

I enjoy almost every sport, but tend to root for the underdog. Not a recent Celtic fan, because they bought their team, but I did like Pierce and KG individually. Nets look interesting with the addition of Yi, whose career I've been following. He has so much physical talent with his speed for his size, as well as the ability to shoot the ball. Like i said, I like underdogs and Yi has so much haters, it's very entertaining for me to follow.

He'll have match up problems with almost everyone, even PGs. He'll have to produce a lot on the offense to make up, or have really good shot blocking/help defense.

The problem with living in US, they don't cover much of soccer. I love the atmosphere of the world cup. The Italians and Mexicans in my neighborhood go crazy cheering, it's great.
Welcome to S2, Malorkayel! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. Hm. Getting Kirk would be interesting to me. I mean, I love watching the guy play. He's one of my favorite players. But do we really have that much of a need for him? He's a guy who likes to dominate the ball, and we already have 2 other players who do in Carter and Devin. And his contract...I'm not really sure about it. Having 30 mil locked up in your 3 perimeter players rarely seems like a good idea...
kirk isnt what we need, we already got devin... no PGs. That would be wasting cap, rather use the money on a wing.

Not to nitpick, but its Kirk..... Kirk Hinrich. Second, if you think Hinrich is a bad defender, you are either watching a different game than I am.... or not watching him at all. He can defend. He's a very good defender.
