maybe we can make a run at maggette and jr smith...that would solve or wing problems right there. maggette is pretty much the same player rj is attacks the rim and and gets to the line. as far as JR he is a great talent from inside and out.

5 year 65 mill is solid contract for baron davis... but to give arenas 127 mill?!?! are u kidding me ?!?! i didnt know he was kobe like...

only players that deserve that kind of money are:

    kobe
    KG
    tim duncan
    LBJ

i dont even think melo, wade, dirk, bosh, and elton deserve that

wizards are goin to be in trouble if arenas knee doesnt hold up and they are locked in at 127 mill...

if this happens it pretty much means the end of the warriors being a playoff team in the West, unless they somehow get Arenas which IMO would make them better.

Arenas and Monte would make the best backcourt in the NBA

I think he(Arenas) is worth it as long as hes healthy, i feel hes one of the elite players in this league and at a premuim position at PG.

obviously not worth 127 million, but really....they've just suffered a devastating loss. Signing arenas should become the warriors top priority at this point.

He'll be fine, they need to get Arenas if they want to see playoff basketball next year.

As for the Clips, great pickup. Davis is a very very good player. I can say this confidently for the first time in a while. First time ever, actually. It will be fun to see the Clippers in the playoffs this year. This, of course assuming they resign Brand.

Dont forget Dwight and Rashard Lewis. Rashard got 118 mill over 6 years.

Arenas would only make an average of 1.5 mill per year more than Rashard does.

Although it's not gonna happen, I wish there was some way for the Nets to get Maggette. They are talking about him having to settle for the $5.8mil MLE with the Clips now out of the picture. A move that like would sure up our roster for next year by essentially matching RJ's production.

Harris/VC/Maggette/Yi/Krstic would be a very high scoring lineup IMO especially in the East...(a man can dream!)

I'm wondering if Davis saw the "Arenas offered max contract with GS" headlines and decided 'screw this, I'm signing with the Clippers'.

I heard the Warrior offer was only $97mm. That was the max they could offer.

Wiz got lucky locking up Jamison for 4 years at $50mm. $12.5mm a year is pretty decent for them.
