The Nets, Hawks and Jazz are all interested in Kwame Brown after Memphis said they had no intention of resigning him. While this may seem nutty, I have expected this for one reason: Brown plays post defense. He may not be (the old) Collins or Diop, but he is 7'0", 270, and 26 years old, same age as Diop. He is also a better scorer (didnt say better offensively) than either of the others. But the Nets probably won't be able to sign him. I assume he will be offered a two year MLE or about $4 million. Someone will offer him more than that. There's always someone out there who will take a chance. (Maybe he'll want a Chinese sneaker deal?) So I await word on Kwame. Losing Diop would drop the Nets seven footer contingent to three: Krstic, Lopez and Yi. We need Brown to lead the league in length.
we don't need Brown. pass. Pargo or Pietrus, of course aren't big guys, but I'd take them. would it be possible for a S&T of Boki + Marcus for JR Smith?
Funk that! Nets should just start holding a raffle during games where they pick people from the crowd to make up the Nets team for the next two years.
Not the Hawks! I don't want him on my team. He needs to play in Europe for a year or go back to college.
wtf, why the hell do we need him? why even talk to him? do we not have enough offensively challenged big men?

If we get Kwame I'm gonna start writing a ton of hate mail to the front office. That piece of krap better not end up on the Nets.......heeeeeeeeeeeell no.

If the lakers offer him, i think he'll accept... maybe out of loyalty haha LOL The technique to use kwame is to never pass him the ball... all he has to do while on the court is to play defence.

everything's ridiculous. we're not getting him. Denver's not willing to give him up, and if they do, it won't be to us. I'm really starting not to care about all the free agents, sadly.
I don't want to talk about JR Smith, I want to talk about how signing a horrible big to a lottery-roster that has a logjam of bigmen makes too much sense. Do it THRON!
I would be all for him if he played like this on a consistent basis: <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YgtC9kQzUWE&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YgtC9kQzUWE&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div> <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/lOcVOC-fgt4&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/lOcVOC-fgt4&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div> But no.

If they Grizzlies don't want him, and they have arguably the worst frontcourt in the league, that should say something!
