In all honesty, I hope we sign Kwame Brown. I love him. I want him on the team. I would totally buy his jersey. I wanted the Lakers to trade him to us for Kidd. When I read this, I was in shock. You have no idea how happy I'll be. For some reason, I've always liked him.

First of all, Mbenga and Mihm barely played in the playoffs. Davis and Powe aren't really that great. They're good bench players, sure, but I'd be willing to bet that the Nets' bigs could have done a fine job in their place. Gasol, Perkins, KG, Turiaf are all experience players with plenty of experience. Who's to say Boone, Sean, and Brook can't elevate their toughness as time goes on? Why take a chance on a peice of crap like Kwame when we have plenty of big players who already need playing time? Especially with us not contending. Getting Kwame just wouldn't make sense. But against the Shaq, Dwight, Al Jefferson, Eddy Curry type offensive monsters, it would be nice to have somebody on the bench, who can give 6 very hard fouls. None of our guys are capable imo (Maybe Boone) I know those guys barely played (Mbenga and Mihm). And I'm not saying they would play more for us. But it would help our team win some more games to have someone like that on the bench. I'm ok if we go into next season with our current bigs. I'm just saying I can understand the concept of bringing in Kwame. he would be useful Right now our center rotation is Lopez, Boone, Sean. maybe Stro. Yi and Anderson are not capable. Actually Sean and Stro arent very capable either at C imo. Lopez and Boone can do fine though
hey maybe he can be the next ben wallace for them... hes big enough and athletic enough to be that guy for them... look at ben wallace now he hasnt really done anythin since he left the pistons... maybe the pistons ( with billups, rip, tayshaun, sheed --- ) help kwame become the best nba player he can be... and utilize his strenghts ( defense and boards ) rather than make him a low post threat in the triangle offense ala lakers

Not a bad pickup at all by Detroit..He can play center for them next to Rasheed instead of the aging, undersized McDyess who has been forced to play out of position with the departure of Ben two seasons ago. They signed him to a reasonable contract so this is one of those low risk high reward situations. If all works out for them Kwame and Maxiell could eventually replace Wallace and McDyess longterm whilst in the rotation of McDyess, Wallace, Brown and Maxiell provide solid front court depth in the short term. Solid move by them I could see him playing relatively well in Detroit and possibly surpass expectations coming in as he has been a big disappointment since signing that big deal with LA when they traded Caron Butler for him in 2005.
