<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Wed Jul 02 2008 09:02:18 ET **Exclusive** The American broadcast industry is rocked, realigned and blasted into a new orbit, yet again, by Rush Limbaugh, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. In what is being described as an unprecedented radio contract, Limbaugh will keep his syndicated show on-the-air and e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e through 2016 with CLEAR CHANNEL and PREMIERE RADIO. Already host of the most lucrative hours since radio's inception, Limbaugh's total package is valued north of $400 million, according to media insiders. The NEW YORK TIMES will claim this weekend that Limbaugh, marking 20 years this summer as a national host, has secured a 9-figure signing bonus for the new deal, newsroom sources tell DRUDGE. MORE In its controversial profile, the TIMES reports that Limbaugh is buying a new G550 jet and is making an estimated $38 million a year.</div> Matt Drudge
I can't get over that price figure: $400 Million with a 9 figure signing bonus. How crazy is that? I for one am excited to see Rush stay on the air. I enjoy listening to the man and it is good to see someone that is conservative out there get some good talk time and be a success. I am sick to death of the liberal media controlling the airways in this country,

wow, why be a talented singer, actor or athlete when it pays more to be a airbag shit disturber... personally can't stand biased guys like Rush who have their own agenda and twist the facts to meet their needs and ignore stats that prove their opinions to be falst.
I think Rush can be an influential, entertaining man at times. I also think he can be an insensitive prick other times. Either way, I'll take him over other insensitive pricks like Keith Olbermann, Bill Moyers, or Maureen Dowd any day of the week.
I'm pretty sure Sirius put aside $0.5-billion for Howard Stern, but I think that is the total cost of the show. What the hell does somebody need this much money for?
