Celtics have their big 3: KG, Pierce, Allen. LA have their big 3: Kobe, Gasol, Odom (and Bynum when he's back makes 4!). Clippers look to contend with Davis, Brand (if they re-sign him), and Kaman. San Antonio with Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker have a big 3, too. Is it realistic to think the Bulls can contend with a big 3 of Rose, Deng, and Thomas? Rose, Hinrich, Deng? Rose, Gordon, Deng? Seems like maybe the best "big 3" we can put out there at this point.
If they want to have a big 3, it looks like they might need one more piece. A big piece. Rose and Deng seem to be an obvious duo, but I think one more guy will give them a legit big 3 in my books.
Rose, Gordon, Deng is the best big 3 we can put out there. And better yet, they seem to compliment each other quite nicely.

The lack of a solid post precense limits what this big 3 can do.. unless Noah makes drastic improvements over the summer.
