<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Posey And The C's : The Celtics are denying that they made an offer to Corey Maggette, but they are not denying contact with Maggette, who has already confirmed discussions with the Celtics. Why are the C's distancing themselves from Maggette? It did not sit well with James Posey, who was labeled the Celtics top off-season priority. The Celtics did make an offer to Posey that was far less than the full boat median exception he has been offered from other teams, leaving Posey feeling unwanted. Add the Maggette commentary and Posey wants to talk with other teams. Sources close to the situation contend James Posey would love to be a Laker and that the Lakers are willing to go the full exception to land him. The Hornets are also expressing interest, as are the Cavaliers and Rockets, giving Posey a number of suitors who are offering longer-term deals. The Celtics still hold the best trump card of them all - the chance at another NBA championship - but Posey's camp has been pretty adamant James wants and deserves a full exception deal. Unless Boston comes off the stance of not offering that, Posey could be gone.</div> Source DO IT MITCH I think if we could land him, it would also guarantee that a trade involving Vlad, Luke, and/or Odom would be made to clear up the jam at SF. I don't see us trading Ariza.
I still don't think he's going to leave a perfect situation in Boston to come here. Looking at our small forwards, then obviously the front office guarenteed him minutes, which means somebody is going. If we sign him: James Posey, Lamar Odom, Trevor Ariza, Vladimir Radmanovic, Luke Walton Six maybe if Sun Yue makes the roster. I would love a James Posey signing, but if that happens, then obviously something will be done with the small forward position. I'm sure somebody will be traded because no way in hell will Jerry Buss shell out 30 plus million dollars in one season for one position. Btw, I don't think Hoopsworld is a reliable source...
Eric Pincus at HW definitely has sources with both the Lakers and Clippers. He's really improved and worked his way up the journalistic ladder. There's always a chance Posey's agent is using HW as a pawn to get more bidders for his client, but there's been multiple sources reporting the Lakers and Posey have interest in one another. I'm surprised the Lakers are willing to spend their MLE again to be honest, but if Posey and the return of Bynum get us another title it will be worth it.
I think we've got some offers in place if we're targeting another SF. Maybe we'll upgrade at the point guard position? Odom + Farmar for Hinrich and fillers?

Their backcourt already has a logjam. I would love to see the Lakers get both Hinrich and Nocioni for Odom. I'm not sure why the Bulls would do it except for unloading Hinrich's contract, but Hinrich & Nocioni fill our needs. PG - Hinrich SG - Kobe SF - Nocioni PF - Gasol C - Bynum
I don't think we'd be able to pull Nocioni and Hinrich, but I'd go for Hinrich. He's an upgrade over both Fish and Farmar. Hinrich/Fisher/Farmar

Goddamn</div> Nocioni plays both forward positions and so does Luke & Radman. There's no way Yue is playing SF until he bulks up. We don't have Posey on the roster and if we sign him than Nocioni would be a redundant player who we wouldn't need.
Luke is a horrible PF, I don't even know why you would throw him in as a 4, Shape. Nocioni can hold his own as a 4, however.

He's not fast enough or athletic enough to play SF, and he's not big enough to play PF. His best position is left bench next to Koby Carl.

We are one piece away from a title!!!
I love Nocioni's game, and wouldn't mind getting him and fillers for Odom. As for Hinrich, I'd rather have Odom then Hinrich. I used to LOVE Hinrich his first couple of seasons in the league, but he has gone downhill IMO. Maybe my hometown boy Aaron Gray and Hinrich for Odom? Gray is another BIG body who can rebound.
How about sign Posey for the MLE (dream), and then swing a deal with Chicago. Lamar Odom for Kirk Hinrich and Drew Gooden? pg: Hinrich, Fisher, Farmar sg: Kobe, Machine? sf: Posey, Ariza, Puke pf: Gasol, Gooden, Space Cadet c: Bynum, FA, Mihm Looks very balanced and deep to me.
Man u guys are gettn me excited, hahahah for the 100th time, bring in posey and make a trade by getting rid of either lamar, luke, or vlad to anyone that needs to dump some cap space, like the bulls, hinrich would fit in this system because he wouldnt have to shoot a lot

The only concern I'd have is how fast Hinrich, Gooden, and Posey could learn the offense and gain PJax confidence to garner minutes ahead of Luke or Radman.
