Anyone else got a football jones? Training camps are a few weeks away (Redskins and Ravens both start practicing on the 22nd) but that isn't good enough. I need some NFL and I need it now.
I was thinking about this last night as well. Can't wait for the season to start and the Pats to dominate. lol
I can't believe how quickly the NFL quieted down. There's absolutely nothing going on right now. I can't wait for the season.
Should be an interesting training camp. RCB, SOLB, DE/NT could be all up for grabs (for starters) in Dallas.
I disagree 100%. The only thing the start of the season can do is disrupt this very pleasant feeling I experience every day.
NFLN is replaying the 1st round today Then you can see the refs screw over the Cowboys next week Then you can see Favre hand the Giants the conference title the week after that. Then you can see the Pats chok, then its preseason time!! Then about 6 months from now the Cowboys celebrate yet another superbowl......yawn

Then about 6 months from now the Cowboys celebrate yet another superbowl......yawn</div> There were some bad calls, most notably the Leonard Davis one.... (where he pushed Strahan back to the ground to prevent Strahan from getting up and trying to sack Romo....). Strahan whined his way into the call. But it should have been made irrelevant by Crayton.... all Crayton had to do was catch the ball. Then there was the intentional grounding call that wasn't intentional grounding. Its rare when the NFL apologizes for missing a call, so when they did a couple of days after the Giants playoff game, it was sort of funny. Especially bec. plenty of people tried to tell me it was a "good call." But the game wasn't lost on those two calls. The game was lost because we couldn't execute (giving up a TD right before half, Fasano dropping a TD pass, Crayton dropping the HUGE 3rd down pass that was wide open, Crayton stopping his route on 3rd down near the end of the game when he was wide open, etc). The OL collapsing in the 4th Quarter. We had plenty of opportunities to win. We just failed.
Or when Ware blew by Petigout so fast that it looked like a false start, and the giants got another play(it was 3rd down) and scored. Oh well, I wish the Giants win was clean, its tainted but thats ok, we added pieces, they lost pieces and now have whining players about contracts. Plus if you mess w/ Pacman he wont hesitate to.........."accidentally" attempt to murder you

If the NFC was truly pathetic, I'd have at least thought we'd have seen a pretty good sized win from the AFC.

Surely, there must be some barometer you used to measure that? Other than the "ESPN said so." The NFC went 32-32 last year against the AFC. AFC Supremacy?

Embrace the tranquility. You are above the fray. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Woops, good catch, Must of been force of habit. I wish it wasnt tainted, I really do, but when the NFL has to apologize and numerous calls were blown directly leading to point, its tainted. I understand its law of averages, and we might get some beneficial calls one day, but the Giants got a ton of calls and it was their day. Congrats........ on getting the calls
It wasn't tainted. The refs made a few bad calls. It happens. We just blew it; opportunity after opportunity. That is why we lost.
