<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yi Jianlian scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in an Olympic warm-up against Australia’s NBL All-Stars. Team China won 66-61 and stretched its winning streak to 10, but Yi was the team’s only bright spot. For more than six minutes in the first quarter, the Chinese went scoreless. Leading by one going into the fourth, they went on a 12-2 run. Yi leaves China Sunday and expected in New Jersey late Monday.</div>

I wonder how many minutes he played. 14 rebounds isn't bad...I mean, I'm surprised he even made a real effort to grab rebounds, since this is an exhibition game.

Can't wait till he gets here. I want the trade to finally be official..

Yi's actually solid on the boards. He would have had a higher rebound rate in the NBA if the Bucks coach hadn't dumped him on the perimeter.

    He played 32 minutes btw.

Oh, thanks. That makes the 14 boards sound even better. And 17 points sound...not as bad.

Welcome to S2, Arthur! If you have any questions feel free to PM me or any other mod on the site.

Yi's averaged around 20 points in China's 10 pre Olympics games, so 17 isn't too bad. Take into account that Team China has awful PG's who aren't very good at feeding the post, which is where Yi does most of his damage in international competition.

    And thanks for the welcome.

don't read too much into these games hes basically playing against the same people where JULIUS HODGE average like 30 pts 10 assists and 10 rebounds agaisnt. These Australians are really bad at basketball. Hodge's coach thinks he is Michael Jordan.

The NBL is the equivalent of the NBDL...but their top players were not playing. They were in Europe playing for the Aussie National Team or finishing up the draft (Jawai) or working out for the Nets (Hodge).

I feel comfortable comparing the NBL to the NBDL considering Hodge's numbers were virtually identical in the two leagues.

Speaking of Hodge, I dont see how he makes the Nets unless they make some multi-player deals where most of the players are leaving rather than arriving. The Nets keep taking on more players than they give up, at least those with non-expiring contracts. Nets did one for one with Memphis, getting Swift for Collins, but essentially five for one with Dallas: getting Harris, Van Horn, Ager, Anderson and Hassell for Kidd and two for one with Milwaukee, getting Yi and Simmons for Jefferson.

The Nets now have 15 active players under contract or about to sign (CDR), assuming they keep Nachbar and Krstic.

Very one sided officiating and the players were all too short to boxout yi... Not very impressive game by the CNT... they couldn't defend for crap.

Just watched the second half of this game. The undersized Aussies made Yi look like Shaq in the paint. All they could do was foul.

    Both teams played poorly.
