So after work last night, I went over to a friends house. It was right around 12:30am that I got there. We decided to take a walk - nothing harmless, right? So we go walk around the block for an hour or so, and when we get back to his place, we decided to duck inside my car to get out of the rain. After a few minutes, we see headlights turn down his street. Low and behold, it's a cop. He pulls up to us and asks for me and my friends license so he can do a check on us in their system. As expected, nothing came back and we were free to go. Apparently the person across the street had called the cops on us because they felt we were up to something suspicious. They saw us duck into our car and apparently thought something was up. Apparently they didn't realize that it was raining. Oh well, me and my friend got a good kick out of this. Talk about a completely unnecessary conversation with a cop.

Haha, you guys are all so presumptuous. Just because I live in Iowa, doesn't mean I'm doing super-hick things - like streaking through a cornfield or cow tipping.

you should have been all like, "this is cause i'm black isn't it?" and watch the confused and scared impression on the cop's face. this assumes that you aren't really black... if you are well ... you should know better than to go walking around after midnight!
Well, hot now, unfortunately. It was about 90 and humid out yesterday. And considering I have a horrifying sunburn, it's not something I'm enjoying. Oh yea, and the AC in my car doesn't work either, which makes driving during the day a little un-enjoyable. Oh well, I guess it's better than flooding. Though, last week, we did have all sorts of tornadic activity - I probably saw about 8 or 10 funnel clouds and witnessed one start dropping down on a road we were driving on, it couldn't have been any higher than 20 feet above us. To say the least, we promptly turned around and sped off in the opposite direction. And as much as you like to believe that stereotypes don't like CF, well, I hate to break this to ya buddy, they do. If stereotypes applied, I would be a hick that lives on a farm, listens to country music and enjoys cow tipping in my spare time. None of those apply to me, fortunately, lol. I don't live on a farm, I despise country music and have never actually gone cow tipping. So, I'm sorry to break this to you pal, but stereotypes, they do lie sometimes.

So.... I must ask. Is it a Dubuque thing or an Iowa thing.... not using a turn signal? The next time will be the first time someone from Dubuque uses their turn signal

People in general are just very rude drivers in Iowa.
