Atreyu was the first hardcore band that i liked. After their second album The Curse, they really started to go down hill. Haven't heard the faith no more cover though. You should try going to those bands myspaces and see if there's anything you like. I wanted to see at least a couple of these bands this summer, but im broke as hell.

I'm cool with some hardcore music. To name some:

    36 Crazyfists
    Atreyu (older stuff)
Avenged Sevenfold (older stuff, last two albums aren't "hardcore")
    Killswitch Engage
    Trivium (pre-Crusade stuff)

Hell yea dude. I loved Trivium's Ascendancy album. Hands down one of my favorite metal albums. Though, I did love The Crusade as well. Also, if you like Trivium's older stuff, I'd recommend checking out Avenged Sevenfold's CD Waking The Fallen.

Another band to add to my list that I neglected - Five Finger Death Punch. Got the opportunity to see them in concert on Saturday and they absolutely blew me away. One of the countless awesome acts that day.

I don't really listen to hardcore, as evidenced by the fact that I think Lead Sails Paper Anchor is a pretty good album. [IMG]

one band who I've seen live a few times and is really fun, Fantomas:
    <div><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mwrMdusKOMw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mwrMdusKOMw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t;object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mwrMdusKOMw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mwrMdusKOMw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /></embed></object></div>

Thats melodic death metal good try though lol

I have always despised Matt Heafy....Ascendacy is insanely boring for me. They just don;t impress me and they try a bit too hard. With that said they aren't bad musicians....

I'm more of an old school metalhead, I do like Shadows Fall, any fans in here?
