lol, the key word could. Elton Brand could make his decision on his future 4 weeks from now.

 

True, but I'm just guessing that that means there is a pretty good chance that he will decide soon.

What would be the point of waiting that long?

 

I know I was just noting the word choice. Could just implies there is an option.

The sentence `Elton Brand could sign a contract with the Clippers.` Doesn`t imply such a thing is likely compared to other options, just says its possible.

Joey Crawford could retire tomorrow. (hopefully :S)
