I read that he's going to be on the Lakers summer league team, is there any shot he might be able to get a camp invite or possible make your guys team as the 15th man aka project player
Not sure... I heard he can play power forward, so there may be a spot for him on the roster. But he's probably gonna have to battle with Karl, Crawford, and Yue for the last spot. I'm not sure if I really like him either. He showed up during his pre-draft work outs out of shape. From what I've heard, he has a horrible work ethic and he's extremely lazy. Not really the type of guy I would want on this roster, but if he can turn it around and step up in the summer leagues, I guess I wouldn't mind him.
Yeah, he has loads of potential but he is a bit lackadaisical, and is just too laid back. I'm surprised he picked the Lakers out of all the offers cuz he got like 6 offers apparently and he has no shot to make their team. Maybe he just figured they'd have a weak SL team and he could shine? IDK....
USC does run the Triangle Offense, which gives Davon an edge over some other summer league prospects. I'm surprised he went undrafted, but if he can show some consistency on the court and a desire to work on his game he could make the roster. Jefferson has a lot of talent and would bring more athleticism to the forward position.
Jefferson is athletic? I thought he was a fat slug. He came into camp, probably one of the most important things he will ever have to go through in his career, and showed up as a fatass. I don't think that's the type of guy I would want to have on a championship contending team.

I wouldn't mind having a guy that would be a lotto pick next year as my 15th man But that's just me I guess......
Jefferson was a lotto pick? I thought he was supposed to be a late first / early second rounder until he got fat.

He was actually academically ineligible for his two first true freshman seasons and was originally in the in the '05 HS class, where he was ranked over the likes of Mike Conley, Darrell Arthur, Robin Lopez, D.J. Augustin, etc., and even that was after dropping a few notches from being a top 5 prospect the year before. So yeah, his worth used to be projected a lot higher, but what does that mean, J_Ray? At those young ages, it's all about development and drive. He didn't develop because he didn't have that drive (ala Derrick Caracter), so why risk a contract on the guy? In all fairness though, he makes a hell of a lot more sense than Joe Crawford. What a strange pick. EDIT: Found an old Rivals article that mentioned him as the #6 ranked player in the nation - http://rivalshoops.rivals.com/content.asp?...&CID=485979
