With the loss of Brand, the Clippers will be searching for a PF. It's reported that they will pursue a couple of restricted free agents, but they are unlikely to sign one. I count five players on their roster to share the SF, PF, and C spots (Kaman, Fazekas, Tim Thomas, Thornton, and Josh Powell). They also drafted Deandre Jordan, who would have to play. Even with Baron Davis, I believe that they will still be more than $5 million below the salary cap . . . . . . is this the golden opportunity to jettison Stromile Swift? We could trade Swift for a future protected third-round pick , and use the roster spot for Hodge or Jaycee Carroll. Thoughts, anyone?
I don't think they are that desperate... yet. I think they'll make a decent run at Josh Smith. I think the Warriors will too. They have a ton of cap space.
If the deal was Stro and $3 Million for a future second round pick (top 55 protected), the Clippers would probably still turn it down.
Theres better players than Swift out there... Way better... i think the nets are stuck with swift until his contract runs out.

Pay someone in part to take Swift. Frees up a spot for one of these guys that Nets tried to trade a pick for to get on the squad. -Petey

Stro , Boone and KVH</div> Too much salary. Bulls don't need another big. They have Gooden, Noah, Thomas, and Simmons. That trade defeats the value of KVH's contract. Bulls need salary relief.
Then need Stros expiring deal. Theyd like him back Simmons is a non factor. I believe KVH has a small buyout. So they take his 3 mil salary back and then buy him out

The OKC Kevin Durants have a couple of PF's in Collison and Wilcox that Clippers could also try and trade for.
Anyone else pissed the one year the Clippers were good in the past 100 years is when we have their pick? The draft was weak, especially past the top 10, but still.

They need a good training camp with happy campers who won't be worried about minutes and contract years.

If that can't be done, I definitely agree he should be bought out or just waived. The only vets that should be on the team are those that won't gripe at playing time and will give their all when they are asked to play, however long or short that may be.

Obviously Frank needs to sit them but history says he wont. I like Frank on the details but big picture he's not there.
