http://www.miamiherald.com/588/story/598176.html Jones could sign the deal as soon as Wednesday, and it would be worth a total of about 5 years $22 million Another guy you can cross off your list
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The move to sign Jones -- a former Miami American High standout -- apparently would create a logjam on the perimeter for the Heat and put the futures of shooting guard Daequan Cook and forwards Shawn Marion and Dorell Wright in doubt. Cook, a 2007 first-round pick the Heat acquired on draft day, has been slow to develop. Wright is a restricted free agent, but is coming off season-ending knee surgery, and Marion has an attractive $17.8 million expiring contract that Miami could use as a trade chip in an attempt to bolster its weak center and point guard positions. Another player potentially affected by Jones' signing would be swingman Ricky Davis, an unrestricted free agent who unlikely would be re-signed. Other players that interest the Heat include center Kwame Brown and guards Keyon Dooling, Jannero Pargo and Roger Mason</div> More domino's a fallin'. Woo Hoo!
I don't believe Miami has enough room to sign either Dooling or Pargo now. According to the salary page here they are now $3mm over the cap. Surprised they shot their load on James and not a pg. Are they going to bring back Jason Williams?

You can also talk about him in the Heat forum: http://sportstwo.com/forums/Heat-Sign-Jame...es-t119101.html
Why are we being forced to bring traffic to the Heat forum? Jones signing affects us. Anyway Im not the biggest Dooling guy. But it looks like it could be him now. Not bc we were after Jones but bc whos left on Doolings list. The day we sign our PG/SG I expect Marcus to be traded the next day for some package surprisingly invaluable. A conditional future 2nd, or a SF weve never heard of.
Ok, so I moved all your posts back and now you can continue your discussion. I think Pargo would be so small for the Nets. Mason would be a nice pick-up.
Sorry for any confusion A bit of over-zealousness is trying to get our great Nets fans to interact with the other NBA fans on the site

I didnt think I was going to stick around at first, I just watched Superbad so I threw out that name. I am Marion Barbers son, I cant deny it <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A bit of over-zealousness is trying to get our great Nets fans to interact with the other NBA fans on the site</div> They hate us until its the offseason, and then they want somebody to play with
Have you met Dexter Coakley's Dad? He posts over at the zone too. You can start an "almost" famous club.

Too busy hating on Campbell and the Skins decision to go to a WCO, lol......
Campbell is the least of our worries. Its those Giants...... Them and their tainted wins <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>what!? lol MB4th I had no idea it was you! You are a sneaky one.</div> To be honest, part of my turdy name was bc I wasnt sure why everyone left "the other place". I didnt want to come barreling in like the uninvited fat chick at a party. Im not sure if there was a vote to move bc of Marions son and his trade ideas.
Whatever happened to Marcus Williams and why did he fall out of favor with the Nets? Hes got a decent shot...... but he plays w/ no passion, hes out of shape, he plays no D. He has legit PG skills, but he just pounds the rock half the time. Hes the kind of guy you dont even want around bc he kills the chemistry. Looks like he got rich and stopped trying.
