We have some interest and I think we have more interest than teams available, so I think we should discuss the possibility of expansion. We have never had an expansion plan in place or needed one, so this is all going to be mostly new....I see two possible ways to go about it, but only one that I think is worth it: Plan #1....we add a second conference of 10 teams, which is basically an entire independent league, and the 2 leagues only interact for the championship game....this easily works, but we would need 10 willing owners and right now, I think we have 5 that are showing interest.... Plan #2....we figure out a way to add 2 teams....very complex in my opinion and likely not worth it....adding teams means current owners would have to lose some assets and we would have to come up with a rookie draft adjustment that some teams might not agree too... Basically, I like plan #1 if we can get the numbers, I hate plan #2 unless someone has a logistical idea on how to make it work and sell to a majority....up open for suggestions though, let the ideas flow....
I'm all for plan #1. I think there is enough interest already for the new 10 teams in the new conference. It would definetely be easier to set up because then you won't have to notify the current owners that they have to lose some of their players when they can begin their own independent league which competes in the championship, etc. But in the end, it doesn't really matter to me, just as long as you are able to handle the workload in expanding, this year sounds exciting already!
