Im thinking about designing an olympic fantasy draft type set up where we would draft indiviuals or teams and then compete for medals based on the results....I want to gage interest before I design a rule set, so sign up in this thread....
Very interesting concept. I'm just wondering how many people have comprehensive knowledge about the competitors across several sports. I know my knowledge is very restricted to the events I find interesting, although I get into new events as the Games progress.
I think a considerable ammount of research would need to be involved for most of us....I would assume a guy like M. Phelps would be a prospect for the #1 overall becasue he may win 5 golds....then you take a guy like Tyson Gay who just got hurt, but still threatens to win a gold and you wonder how he would be effected....I dont even have a structure in mind yet, other than like 1 pt for bronze, 3 for silver, 5 for gold, but I will start on it as soon as we have 10 or more interested....
I want the Kenyas for the marathon!!!! I'll skip this one due to fatherly duties, but in 4 years time... I may be able to compete. I'd need a month to even begin to know who the favorites are in 90% of the events
