I thought against it though, because I can see UAB being good enough to knock them off in C-USA play now that they have Vaden back. If they play nearly as tough as a non-conference schedule as they did last season, they'll probably also lose 4-5 in non-conference play. With Calipari in town throwing his money under the table at recruits, I don't think this new-found basketball success in Memphis will stop any time soon, but last year was a special year I don't expect to see again for a long time. So no one else has predictions?

Florida and Ohio State went from the finals to not even being in the tournament this season. As for the Big Ten, do you mean that no team stands out in terms of being good enough, or that there's just a lot of good teams at the top? Because I could see both Purdue or Michigan State winning the whole thing this year. They've both got more than enough talent, experience, and coaching.
Well, Minnesota is getting Devoe Joseph, Guard From Pickering, Ontario. And I'm a Tubby fan. But i dunno.
Missed this thread before. I'll get some predictions up next week. We should do a more lighthearted predictions thread also. Something like each person gets to add a category. Some examples off the top of my head. CUSA team most likely to beat Memphis. How long Indiana will be banned from post season tournaments. Top 20 recruit most likely to disappoint.

The media will make them the #1, and maybe I misstated my thoughts on last year. Just that if there record isn't much worse then last year, they will probably stay a #1 seed. Big Ten wise, i have always had trouble picking teams there, i dunno what it is. Michigan State was going to be my pick but Purdue will be good as well, so I'm leaving up to internal debate for now.
