<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"We could be very active," said Thorn.... "When you look at our roster, we've got a lot of players now and we could still be active. We might add a combo type of guard or a point before all is said and done."

Keyon Dooling is the most coveted combo guard, but after making $3.6 million last season in Orlando, he is looking for more than the Nets care to offer - unless they make those moves. Thorn said the guard could come from free agency or a trade.

The attention is likely to focus on combo guards. "Don't really have one" in particular, Thorn said.</div>

I hope this does turn out to be true, and that we make a push for Dooling. He's a hell of a player, and I'd love to have him on this team.

I really hope we do give our 3,3 TE to Denver in a Najera SnT, so we still have the full MLE.
I'd be ready to pay Dooling whatever he wants, if it's just 2 years long.

I wouldn't mind giving him 3 years if the 3rd year isn't too bad a deal.

    Orlando could use a big.

Krstic (S&T at 3 yrs 10 million) and Marcus for Dooling at 4 years 16 million. Hopefully, we could work it out to be de-escalating deal. Mine as well sign Dooling long term, you have to have some players for Brooklyn.

Marcus isnt great, but Orlando fills 2 needs for where they could of got nothing for Dooling.

Maybe we could even throw Ager in the deal

Don't we have that guy uhhhhh.....Devin Harris. Thorn and Kiki have said they want to make a splash with the 2010 free agents, Lebron or not. We will not be able to do that by signing a backup point guard at 4 mill per year. Especially after the Najera deal. Were going to need around 20 million in cap space and that puts us over.

At that type of money, the Nets are much better off holding on to Krstic.
