I'm worried CDR is wasting all his anger in the summer league.
Marcus is really not a bad player besides that hes really bad at D. But hes still young and he actually has shown potential at times. Unless we get a Camby or Nocioni I would keep Matcus

I do not forget that he was hurt. I also do not forget his "cry-baby" attitude. That's said I do not give up on him. Only wish he'd be more like a man facing adversity.

I don't get the ragging on his demeanor either. If Nets' brass didn't like his demeanor, they had no business drafting him. It's been very consistent through his whole tenure and was undoubtedly evident to anyone scouting him before the draft. Even in games where he's played exceedingly well and for a lot of minutes, he has the same very flat affect. That's just who he is, and I see no problem with it.

Anyway, I think CDR has a chance to be a starting sf. I mean why the **** not.

he played the most mpg of any Net in summer league and prooved his endurance in the game.

Since Harris is really a combo sg/pg and more naturally a sg.

And Vince is a versitile guard who tends to be a stronger distributer than Harris.

You can sort of turn the Roster a bit upside down in practical terms.

So then...

Carter PG
Harris SG
CDR SF

If CDR can't guard his man, pull him out. But I think CDR is a player who needs to start to get a feel of the game

And I could see a nice second unit trio in Marcus / Carrol / Najara (Simmons, Hassel, Hayes)

I don't understand why people call Harris naturally a 2 guard. He's never had a very good shot and has had to work extremely hard to improve it since coming into the league. He doesn't have any kind of mid range game, it is either him spotting up for 3 or driving to the hoop. So the only similarities I see in his game and that of a 2 guard is that they both have the ability to score. So lets just call it how it is, Devin Harris is a scoring point guard, nothing wrong with that.

Hell, if CDR continues to prove his mettle, go ahead start him. If that helps his confidence, great. But it doesn't matter, we are going to be a hockey team with line shift -like substitutions(especially w/ that rookie wall, minutes will be spread). When we need all around and go to the whole or to go small: CDR. When we need outside shooting: Ryan Anderson. When we need to go tougher, more vet, or go bigger: Najera or Simmons. Basically, Lil' Larry's great task this year will be finding the willing and becoming a sub or rotation master.

This is something he's always done well with, and this year he'll have better options than say, Lamond Murry. I think he's going to try to adjust the lineup game to game, as he did last year until he can get something stable happening.

Douglas-Roberts looked very comfortable making plays in New Jersey’s dribble-drive motion offense, which just happens to be the same offense his team ran in college. He made a number of very impressive plays offensively, particularly in one on one situations where he was able to create shots for himself and pull-up off the dribble for a traditional mid-range shot or his trademark floater. He rarely went all the way to the basket, but instead preferred to elevate as soon as he had space to operate—which works well for him. He was extremely aggressive and at times showed that same loose handle dribbling the ball right in front of his defender that worried some NBA execs on draft night, but at the same time he got the job done offensively the way he always does, and took one small step forward in terms of proving that he went much lower in the draft than he should have gone.

I hope he does... if they deserve to be benched.

You don't only from being on the court, you also learn from what it takes to get on the court.

I don't think it will be a problem. These young guys are all so hungry to be out there they will learn fast. That was Marcus' biggest fault. He doesn't love the game enough to fight ot get out there. He just happens to be good at it. If he loved it he could be great.

His biggest mistake was getting drafted to back up J Kidd. After that he was totally fucked.

So why did it take Boone and SWill so long to crack the starting rotation over Allen and Collins.

You give Frank too much credit.
