He's got less work to do to be a full-time 4 and he's probably less likely to be matched by the strangely owned Hawks team.
If the Bulls manage to lose Deng, I'm going to be highly frustrated. If this team wants to win, they should definitely focus on keeping hold of Deng. Regardless of his production last year, he's still young and can still be a very, very good player - so long that he stays healthy, which has been an issue for the past couple seasons or so. If they let him walk though, who's going to be his replacement. Noc? That works in the short term, but we need him off the bench, and him being in the starting lineup only creates a hole there. Unless the Bulls have a move in mind to replace Deng, there's no way we can let him walk.
I'd be surprised if the Clippers go for Deng. Even if they did, i don't think they'll offer him such a ridiculous amount that the Bulls would not match. The most the Clippers is $12mil if I'm not mistaken.
I dont think we're gonna let Deng go. No matter how long contract talks stall, I dont believe we're letting him go, and we shouldnt. Hell I dont think we're just gonna let Gordon walk either, Im still waiting to read or hear that we did a S&T with him.
Weird. Deng, Gordon, and Hinrich are basically Pax's only 3 draft picks to really pan out. What's the point of playing well enough (SIC) to get those draft picks to let them walk or convert them into crap space? Pax's Suck's
That would really be unfortunate if they lost Deng. What is he 22? The guy still has a long way to go and he's already very good and still young.
