Maybe he'll be like Giambi, everyone wanted him gone last year but he grew a mustache and everyone loves the guy.

Yea, it was basically me against no one. Those guys couldn't even find the court.

Actually, I think this youth movement may salvage Marcus' Nets career, if he's not traded between now and opening night. Because of Kidd's age and the narrow window of opportunity for the last regime, he was always under pressure, especially from Frank, to be a mature, on-court leader who made few mistakes and had great judgment. Unfortunately he just wasn't ready. Now entering his 3rd year, he is suddenly among the more experienced members of the team, and the pressure to be perfect is considerably less.

If he can embrace the role of backup PG, he could still excel as he is capable of things on the court that no other Net really is. I'm rooting for him, and I hope he gets another chance with the new roster before they ship him out.

well he did finish the year (after the Kidd trade) with around 8.5ppg 4apg and 2rpg, although his production was spotty.
