12 cents? What the ****... Is gas ever going to lower in the United States? Or will it just keep climbing and climbing until it reaches $10 or more? The future generation is screwed. We're gonna have to pay like triple for everything, and job opportunities are going down as well. **** this I'm moving to Canada
Theres tons of oil in the US, its just not available because the environazi's wont let us at it....drill here, refine here, and prices will go down....and for all the critics that say it will take years to see a difference, thats why we should have started years ago....
I heard somewhere in Brazil or something, they already found an alternative for fuel. It's some kind of plant they grow all over the country that they use in place of oil, and it's very affordable as well. Maybe we should take some notes for once and follow them...

Brian you mentioned moving to Canada, yet they pay even more per gallon. LOL.

First you drill out the crude, then you must refine it before it's suitable to put in your tank. We drill all the time in this country. Anytime someone in Texas or Oklahoma feels like dropping an oil pump into the dirt, they do. The biggest bottle neck we face is our refining capacity. We have storage containers that are full of crude oil, but the law doesn't allow for new refineries to be built (see Beefs remark above about environazi's). We have the same number of refineries in our country as we did in the 1970's when they stopped them from building new ones. As you can imagine, our demand has gone up tremendously in the past 40 years, but our rate of production has stayed about the same.
So we're gonna end up paying 10 bucks a gallon and probably lose our houses and become homeless because we want to save the squirrels. Sounds reasonable. I'm down
The Law According to Liberal Tree Huggers: People come from monkeys therefore are just animals and no animal should be able to damage another for any reason, survival be damned....
I think I would have to draw the line if we have cities like some in China where people can't walk outside without breathing masks on. At that point, its a rediculous amount of air pollution. They need to build these things smart, while they build new ones.

If they can do all that, then why not? Why not just build them underground? Seems safer that way, with natural containment.
Chernobyl was 22 years ago....technology has advnace so much that a nuclear disaster of that type isnt even plausible anymore.....using Chernobyl as an excuse to supress our nuclear destiny is like swearing off tomatoes forever because of the recent salmanella outbreak....

Teach kids how to use a condom and we don't consume so much damn energy!
Teach kids abstinence and dont worry about wasting rubber that could be made into something useful....
